Ughhh. Everything was going so well.

Requires surgery on his wrist and is expected to be back for the playoffs. Starting to see the wear and tear on Lowry last postseason his injuries were well documented. At least hes healing up now.

Unfortunately it’s his wrist on his shooting hand too which could have an impact when he comes back for the playoffs.  I really thought Toronto had the best chance to compete with the Cavs in the East thanks to the additions of Ibaka and Tucker.

Lowry can’t shoot in the playoffs even with a good hand.

He always finds a way to get injured come playoff time. Last year during the playoffs they kept draining his elbow. Could probally sell the drained fluid on ebay I wonder what they did with that.

This year hopefully he gets 2 or 3 games in before the postseason and we get Kyle healthy.

He does not have the gifts of elite pgs , he however makes up for this by being a harder worker and making more of the hustle plays. Playing that way takes a toll on your body specially when you are a guard.

If he’s back for the play offs that’s the key thing but without him for the last 20 odd games, the Raptors are going to find it harrd almost impossible to challenge Boston for 2nd seeding and Washington could well take 3rd seeding too. That would put the Raps in a likely play off series against the Hawks.

But ideally the Raps would want him match sharp for a play off series as if he’s still feeling his way back in, a team cannot really carry anyone in crucial play off games especially if it is against a similarly matched team.

Full strength I’d say the Raps are a definite top 3 team out East and it’s a toss up between them and Boston for who is 2nd best team behind the Cavs.

Brandon Jennings be a convenient stop gap PG, until he returns even as a back up to Joseph. He was good friends with Derozan as younster too

Well we still have a good team. We won our first 3 games since allstar break and 4 games in a row. First game with the Ibaka/Tucker combination was without Lowry and we won holding Thomas to 4 points in the 4th. Boston lost to Atlanta tonight as well.  The defence had been amazing in the 2nd half and the team has a new gear.

Big stretch coming up. Raptors have a double header against a team theyve never matched up well against Washington. The Wizards currently are in 3rd place as well.

Derozan is averaging 38ppg in those 3 wins and is channeling his inner DeKobe. Game winner tonight at MSG.

The league is in a great place right now. The Eastern conference used to be a joke compared to the West but now there really is 5 good teams and another 4 teams that can still beat top tier teams but struggle with consistency.
