BiggaveliiiParticipantI understand his playoff performance has been dissappointing, but this year hes been amazing, i would have him in my top 5 mvp talks right now, not saying hes top 5 best player in the game, but he has been mvp caliber this season or atleast in the discussion. Tremendous game tonight vs cavs so far. Just wow

BiggaveliiiParticipantBtw just found this article relating to Lowry and his mvp consideration pretty isteresting in terms of advanced stats(rpm) http://www.raptorsrepublic.com/2016/02/25/kloe/
The fact lowry never backed down from clevelands star power and he showed bulldog attitude was amazing to see. The guy is a warrior and not afraid of taking big shots. In the article the dude compares Lowry with the likes of the OG Chauncey Billups which i think is a pretty good comparsion, i do think Lowry is a better athlete but whatever, in a way very comparable. He gave it to Irving and exposed his flaws, and even late in the game instead of settling for a three with love on him, his offensive awareness was on q when he took to loves body to draw the foul, I loved that he did that Great performance.

bdiddy5115ParticipantLowry has been incredible this year, and he still gets underrated by most fans.
His injuries/conditioning have caused him to break down late-season/playoffs the past two years, but he looks equipped to be ready this season, with his lighter frame. And while that should hold a little weight, I don’t think it’s enough to discount the fact that he’s performed at a top-10 level all year, and if going by advanced stats, he has a case for the top-5.

NBAjunkie81ParticipantDo you guys (& Girls) Remember Lowry in College on that 2005 / 06′ Villanova squad that featured that incredible 4 guard line up….. They were So good! ………. Jay Wright used the 4 guards after an injury or something & it was So much Fun to watch!….. It was Allen Ray & Randy Foye along w/ Lowry (who was only a sophmore) & Mike Nardi…… All playing guard & they had one Big guy…..
Can you believe that was a Decade ago!……… that Nova team made it all they way to the Regional Finals (Final 8 teams)……….. & it took eventual the National Champion Florida Gators to knock them out……
The Gators were coached by Billy Donovan & were led by future NBA starters Jakim Noah, Al Horford & Corey Brewer…… Crazy! How was that 10 years lol?!?! ………..
Anyway, Lowlry was the "kid" on that Nova team & he was known for Amazing body control in the air & being able to get to the rim against Anyone….. & he was A Lot of fun to watch back them too…..

SubZeroParticipantEver since he gave DeRozan that math lesson in the interview, I’ve been a fan of Lowry. No way the Raptors are the 2 seed this year without him playing the way he has. I’d have no problem with him being in the MVP talks

HitsterParticipantAfter several years as a back up before getting the starting gig in Houston, Lowry has become one of those late blooming PG’s who had to work really hard to get to where they are now. He is certainly playing the best basketball of his career this season and fully deserved his 2nd successive All Star Game.
Nice observation by NBA Junkie to recall Lowry being part of a Nellyball type college line up too.
He has become one of the very best players of the 2006 NBA draft too, one of only 5 to make an All Star Game.

bdiddy5115ParticipantHe’s gone from being someone who was labeled as a head-case to a mature, self-aware leader. If you have a few minutes to burn, I suggest reading the article he wrote for the PlayersTribune:
