Beat me to it. Nicolas Batum had 18 rebounds in 29 minutes.

It is a quirkly streak and really isn’t a great one. I mean there is a big difference between a game where Korver went 1 for 6 from three and one where he went 4 for 5. But both extended the streak. Also they could and did keep him in during games they were winning to get up a shot or two to keep the streak going. But not too much as far as I could tell (mainly from watching highlights).

But how hard is it to break? 127 games in a row is a ton. It would take a guy with a fantastic shot plus an offense that gets him lots of threes per game. And then he would have to get real lucky. Korver is just a dead-eye shooter. 48% from three this year. But even he has rarely shot the three that well. Even the good three point shooters usually top out at 40% or so.

So is this untouchable? Or is it just something that will fall as teams take more and more threes (and everyone knows we are heading toward that strategy unless some of the rules change).

You’re making him look inefficient with that statement. Shooting 48% from 3pt es equivalent to shooting 72% from 2pt… so if I’m the coach I really want him shooting those 3’s…

Huh, I think folks didn’t understand what I was saying. I said Korver is a "dead-eye shooter". King, why do you think that means I think he was inefficient? Yes, I understand that 48% is crazy good and you Korver to shoot as many threes as you can get at that rate. But he only averages 5.7 three attempts per game this year. With the defense trying to take away his attempts, the Hawks probably can’t get him too many more attempts per game.

I guess I got negged for saying it is a "quirky streak and not really a great one." I guess I was thinking about DiMaggio’s hit streak, which is far more impressive and meaningful because a hit is harder and more meaningful than just one jumper.

Anyway, is this an untouchable streak? Or is someone like Steph Curry (who averages 8 three attempts per game) going to break this streak at some point?
