Wow, I just love it, when a guy shoots 50/50/90 + you gotta give him credit, well deserved… now almost their whole starting lineup is in the ASG, when was the last time 4 players in the same team were nominated?

I’m not 100% sure if it was the last time but I know that in 2006 the Pistons had 4 players in the game (Billups, Rip Hamilton, and Ben and Rasheed Wallace).

Edit: Just looked it up and the Celtics in 2011 had 4 as well (Rondo, Allen, Pierce and Garnett)

This amazing feat here, states that a team needs a legitimate shooter (Hamilton, Allen, Korver) to dictate this uncanny trend. A big will get his regardless, but if the shooter is not dead-aim, then the whole operation becomes a no-go zone.

Congratulations to Korver, and to the Hawks.  Thouroughly deserve 4 players in the ASG.

Should’ve went to someone else…  I’m not fond of players averaging so little making it to the All-Star team, especially when that’s the only thing they provide…  His percentages are crazy, but the Hawks are much more than 4 players… As bad as Kevin Love been playing, I think he should still fill in for Wade…

Brandon Knight is more deserving then Kevin Love. Everyone expected the Bucks to be terrible, one of the worst teams when Jabari Parker went down. Jason Kidd has them playing great and Knight is leading the team to the 6th seed in the East right now.

Before you neg me, I just want to make this point, if a team legitimately has 4 all stars then they should be a lock to win the tittle right? I don’t think anyone has the Hawks coming out the east let alone winning the title but they have four Allstars, come on!!! The team is good but there are not four allstars on there and if so why doesn’t golden state have atleast three if we are talking winning?

The West is simply too great and has too much talent for one team to have three/four All-Stars. Draymond Green isn’t an All-Star in the West. Over who? Boogie??? No way…

I personally don’t have a problem with the selection of Korver. He’s having a historically great shooting season and has a ridiculous impact on that offense. His defense has improved too. Without him, there’s no way the Hawks are this good.

To me, it was between Korver and Knight. I think Knight and the Bucks are probably upset considering the way they’re overachieving, but maybe he’ll get in if Melo decides to sit.

Not to mention, Korver dunked twice already this season. He’s leaping beyond those previous boundaries, literally.

Korver certainly should be there.  With the Hawks, they are so even for how they help the team win games that Korver is at the same level as Horford, Teague and Millsap.  For around the league and one specific area, outside shooting, Korver is a superstar.

It isn’t just his percentage from outside, he has been above 50% for threes before, but it is the percentage and the high number of attempts.

Korver does lead the league in True Shooting Percentage, so he is very elite, and he leads the NBA right now in four categories of stats, with 3s made, 3% and FT%.

I like what the NBA did with adding Korver.  I’m hoping Coach Bud will do the same thing with these Hawks that the Pistons did in 2006.

Im glad Kyle Korver is an All star he deserved. BUT  AL Horford does not deserve to be an all star. I don’t carehow many negs I get but I call it like it is. Did Al have a good season, yes. All Star season no.Which leads me to my next concern, Brandon Knight and the Bucks. By no means am I am Bucks fan but its amazing how they manage to stay in the playoff race with their roster. Moreover, Jason Kidd ha been doing a good job with this team as well as mentoring BK. BK have been the most consistent player on the team. It’s a shame that players like Dwade, Anthony, Horford are getting by on seniority , while players like Knight, Lillard (who made it because a player was injured.)

I do believe that there should at least one player from an playoff team who should be in the ASG. If there were any injured All Stars, then there should be a substiute player from a non playoff team. If not then they should at least extend the ASG roster.

There needs to be more diversity of team in the ASG instead of having 4 hawks players, two under performing heat players (Wade and Bosh), a out for the season laker (bryant), injury prone Thunder player (durant)

What big in the East gets in over Horford?

In the East it is hard to name many big’s who are having a better season. You can argue for Pau but Chicago ain’t top of the East with the best record in the league.

Atlanta were 8 seed last year when Horford was injured and this year they will be the 1 seed out of the East with possible the best record in the league.

Horford is a big, big reason for that. You can’t deny it.

        Pau Gasol (18ppg, 12rpg, 3apg, 2bpg) is not an All-Star???

Good for korver. While I think Brandon knight may have been more deserving I can’t be mad that someone like korver who has been severely underrated throughout his career is finally getting some recognition. Doubt he ever comes close to getting this opportunity again.

Cool. Imo the all-star game should reward super-high quality role players like Korver instead of guys who average an inefficient 20 ppg and don’t do much else.

Congrats to Korver, but man when I think Kyle Korver, I don’t think "All-Star" caliber player. Unfortunatley people will construe that as "hating" or "disrespecting" Korver’s game, which I’m not intending to do. He’s a really nice player and is having a fantastic year, but make no mistake about it he’s in because so many good players have been hurt.

The East has been a bit snakebitten with injuries. Paul George, DeRozan, Rose, Noah, Beal, Wade and Melo are all All-Star caliber players who aren’t playing in this game because of injuries or missed time (due to injuries). Add those guys and the East doesn’t look quite as bad.

The hawks are still a bit underrated. When I hear that “noone has the hawks coming out of the east” well it doesn’t mean they wont. I really don’t know who can beat them on a 7 game series. They’re invincible at home and they’ll have home court advantage all the way

I have no issue with this. He’s having a historic season, and defensive specialists have being rewarded with ASG births for years. I don’t see any reason a guy who’s a shooting specialist on the team with the best overall record shouldn’t get in.

He’s leading the NBA in two statistical categories ( 3 pointers made and 3 point percentage ), and is 2nd in FT percentage.

Korver is averaging 12.9 ppg, but Roy Hibbert made it in averaging 12.8 and 10.8 ppg because he was an elite shot blocker. Jo Noah made it in averaging 11.9, and 12.6 ppg because of his defensive ability….give the shooter some love he’s the best at what he does in the entire league.

Horford struggled earlier this year coming off his injury but he’s really starting to pick it up. I think he deserves to be an all star.
