Maniac MaciejParticipantI’m not talking career. If you had one season of either player in their prime, who do you take?

river09ParticipantKobe, no question. Kobe at his best is in my top 5 players of all time, his skill combined with his desire to win is/was quite a combination. Not taking away from Wade he’s a great player but Kobe’s name will probably go down as a legend after he retires.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI Love Kobe’s Jordanlike Cockiness & Confidence…Kobe is a top 5 player of all time candidate, where exactly he should rank is debatable…Kobe is a better talent then Wade….Both guys are the closest players to Jordan i’ve ever seen…And will finish their careers as the 2nd and 3rd best shooting guards to ever play…

Anton123ParticipantI don’t know if Wade is the 3rd best SG of all time, I mean only time will tell, he is already 30, if he can keep it up for another 5 years, he probably will be 3rd, but right now I’d rank Drexler and J.West above Wade, it will be tough for Wade to supass them.

Absolutely. Right now I’d even rank Gervin and Iverson above Wade although I do think he will surpass them eventually.
I take Kobe though. They are very similiar in some ways but Kobe has the clear advantage in shooting range and offensive versatility, he had and has more moves in his arsenal.

Maniac MaciejParticipantHave you guys ever looked at D-Wade’s career numbers? Or his playoff numbers in his two NBA Finals runs?
His best seasons are better than Kobe’s, statistically speaking. He’s a better passer, and more efficient shooter.

mookieParticipantThats not even a question. Personally I dont think D wade woulda won that ring if it weren’t for the refs. He is great, but kobes a top 10 player of all time. I dont think dwade is.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantMy answer was going to be exactly like A Lil English.
Wade is my favorite player but Kobe is legendary.

Wade’s FG percentage is higher because he doesn’t attempt as many three-pointers. Similar to MJ, Wade lives in the mid-range and attacking the basket.
I’d take Kobe without question. During his peak, he was a more complete player. He was more durable too. D. Wade puts up great stats defensively, but Kobe was a lockdown defender.
