With the great Kobe Bryant hitting 60 points in his last NBA game despite only hitting 22-50 on FG and 6-21 on 3PT playing 42 minutes. Whilst Steph Curry hit 46 points being 15-24 on FG and 10-19 on 3PT playing 30 minutes.

I was thinking what sort of numbers would Kobe have reached if he’d had his shooting boots on or shot like Steph and what sort of numbers would Steph have reached if he’d taken as many shots and played as many minutes as Kobe.

I think we could have been looking at something close to Kobe’s legendary 81 point game for either of them.

Another way to look at it is what if Steph took 50 shots with the way he was shooting last night.

So this is if he kept the same percentage of his shooting if he took the same exact shots as Kobe which is highly unlikely to do but here it goes: So curry was 10/19 in 3s but if he shot 21 threes he would have made 11 which gives him 33 points. He was 5/5 from 2 point range and since Kobe shot 29 2 pointers that would mean Steph would make all 29 giving him 58 points on 2s (extremely unlikely). Then Kobe shot 12 free throws and Curry shot 6/6 so he would made all 12 of them giving him another 12 points. Add them all up 33+58+12= 103 points. So Curry would have beat Wilt’s record if he continued to shoot the same percentages and took the same amount of each shot as Kobe.
