Don’t feel bad! Lamb will get his moment. There are teams out in waiting for his services. He just has to be patient with the business side of things to sort its mess out. He’ll be a nice hot commodity, rather sooner than later. I like Lamb a lot. It’s not as if he’s an underachiever. He will get a pretty decent look, just wait on it like the rest of us.

Agreed I feel bad for Jeremy Lamb. He always seems to do well when he plays, but they must not be happy with him for some reason. Before the details of the trade came out I was thinking that perhaps the Thunder were going to include Lamb.

 Lamb has had multiple opportunities with the injuries the Thunder have had the last two years and hasn’t shown much, while their other young guys like Reggie, PJ III, Adams and Roberson have stepped into the rotation and taken advantage of their opportunities. Lamb, not so much.

 As a partial Thunder fan (go small market teams!!!), Lamb hasn’t really done much and has been given PLENTY of opportunity.

I’d even go as far to say PJIII has done nothing also (2 good games at the start of this year).

Adams and Roberson have both shown promise, and Adams has even surpassed Perkins in the starting lineup (finally Coach Brooks does something useful).

I think Waiters can provide a nice scoring punch of the bench for this OKC team, and they now may have to decide between Jackson or Waiters in the upcoming free agency.

Yea defend him all you want about being a good defender this and that but in know way is he elite by the way I see it. It’s just Scott Brooks has such a love affair with offensively-challenged "defensive" wings that I really don’t get it.

Lamb and Roberson are not far apart in their defensive abilities, trust me. I don’t it’s just that perception that these players who are not that good offensively make it up by being good in the defensive end. Not that Roberson is a bad one, Lamb is just better as a starter as he can space the floor, which Roberson does AWFULLY, and plays decent defense.

 I think JR Smith is the worst player in this trade, and has the worst contract. The knicks have won by getting ANYTHING for him.

He’s a locker room distraction and an unreliable gunner on the court.

Although, he comes off as having the worst contract, he still inconsistently plays consistent enough to have big nights at any given moment. I’ll take that over any player who gets that type of pay to disappear completely.

I still think that Lamb will be a good pro. Westbrook is very dominant, maybe a change of scene would do him good. He still has a good contract for the next few years so the Thunder could still keep him (I would).

I would not be surprised if SVG hasn’t contacted the Thunder about Morrow. He loves his Orlando idea surrounding a big with lots of 3 point shooters and Morrow is a good 3 pt shooter.

Smith was never going to work in Phil Jackson’s system, and they got someone to take his contract. Iman Shumpert has been tagged as a good defensive player, but he has never consistently lived up to that billing. Considering that he is in between positions offensively, he needs to bring it nightly on the other end. It does not bother me that they gave him a look, seeing as how Phil history with bigger pseudo-points in the past, but cutting the cord is probably for the best.

It is now clear that they have cut the cord for this season. They might rival Philadelphia for the worst record, but it is also an opportunity to see whether they have any keepers from their young players (Aldrich, Hardaway, Larkin, Early, Acy, and Wear) and likely run of D-Leaguers they give a look on 10-day contracts. I do not imagine that any of them would prevent them from looking long and wide in their draft and free agent targets, but they are only going to have 1 first rounder and a fixed number of cap money so two or three cheap young capable players would come in handy.
