Assuming T-Mac gets the starting 2/3 spot, who has to go to the bench? I am pretty sure the Knicks didn’t give up so much to have T-Mac coming off the bench, so say he gets the starting 2 spot. Who starts at the 3? Will it be Chandler or Gallinari? I don’t think either player will be able to slide to the 4 spot, so Al Harrington probably goes from bench to starting 4.

I don’t think T-Mac is physically ready to start. Also, D’antoni is unpredictable when it comes to a starting 5. We’ll just have to wait til Saturday.

    Pg:Sergio/Duhon/Douglas
    Sg:T-Mac/House/Douglas
    Sf:Gallo/Harrington
    Pf:Candler/Harrington
    C:Lee/Bender

should be something like that Knicks really need another center.

    I think it’ll be

    PG: Rodriguez
    SG: Tracy McGrady
    SF:Wilson/Danilo
    PF:Danilo/Wilson
    C: David Lee

I dont see D’Antoni bringing chandler or gallo of the bench, so they’ll both start…i think he’ll go with Gallo at the 4, to see how it works, but if not he’ll just swap him with Wilson at the 3

&Al Harrington stays as the 6th man
Bender(for size) will get some playtime
and D’Antoni likes shooters, so House will get some playtime…
D’Antoni refuses to give up on Duhon, so he’ll squeez him in

    And i think thats your 9-man rotation…

Though, i’d personally like to see Douglas & Walker squeezed into the rotation..

Rodriquez will be starting very soon, and I think Douglas will get alot of time to develope.
And the Knicks really have no length or size now with Jeffries and Hill gone. The Knicks had been getting killed on the glass in recent games, and its only gonna get worse.

      PG: Rodriguez/Duhon
      SG: McGRady/House/Douglas
      SF: Chandler/Walker
      PF: Gallo/Harrington
      C: Lee/Bender

I would also like to see Giddens and Walker get some run.

Agreed, I think they will probably slowly work T-Mac into the line, but I’m sure eventually, he will be starting. I think it’s a tough call, and both Danilo and Chandler are deserving. I can really picture T-Mac driving and dishing to Danilo, but I really like Chandler’s athleticism and D.

I don’t get the chance to watch many Knicks games, but how is Chandler’s post D? Can he hang with guys like Duncan, Bosh, etc?

I dont think Chandler will have to play alot of post defense in all honesty…there just arent alot of teams that run 2 legitimate post up options anymore. Most teams have a center who is on the block and 4 guys spaced around the perimeter or maybe a 4 man goes to the high post. In that case, I dont think Chandler will have trouble.
Plus in Dantoni’s system…they dont want big people, they want people who can run and Chandler does that quite well. Think back when the Suns were contending, their PF was either Marion who is 6’7 or Diaw who is 6’8. Chandler is just as big.

Chandler is much stronger than Gallo. If anyone here watches the Knicks they will see that Chandler plays alot of 4. He especialliy played alot of 4 before D’Antoni pushed Jeffries into the starting lineup. Gallinari is too weak to defend the 4 spot.

Hes not a true PG, and he wont play PG, he’ll get minutes at the SG minutes, and hes better off the bench anyways

    1. Sergio
    2. T-Mac
    3. Chandler
    4. Gallo (Can play like a Rashard Lewis, stretch the floor)
    5. Lee
