Mr.Knick 32ParticipantCould Rumors floating around but here are 2 NYK ones.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantA Chad Ford Tweet
Gallo for CP3 & Okafor. Hornets save nearly $100 mil RT @ASalmeron1 What can the Knicks realistically offer for Chris Paul?

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantTotal fake source story. I’m sorry, but nothing about that rumor passes the sniff test. Without Chris Paul, the Hornets do not have a franchise. Shinn just sold it to someone who wants to be in New Orleans, why would that guy sign off on a deal that would basically assure himself of an empty arena and a bad team? If that was the deal for Darren Collison, I could believe it. Not for Chris Paul.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantHow are reports that a team is interested in a player fake? Come on now. Also the Tweet wasn’t a rumored deal.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantLook at the timing of the story. It came shortly after JJ and Rudy Gay took max deals elsewhere. Both of those two were widely rumored to be Plan B,C,D, whatever targets of the Knicks. So a couple hours later, Chad Ford emerges with a rumor that teams are still pursuing Chris Paul. One of those teams, of course, is the Knicks, despite the fact that they have nothing to offer New Orleans to get that caliber of star.

kanebangerParticipanti dont get what the al deal would do the knicks would get a player basically the same as Lee. then what the wolves sign lee or something who does the same as Al good logic. Even though im sure they will have different contracts it just seems like the teams could be doing things to shore up other areas of their team

JoeWolf1Without Okafor, Aaron Gray would be their starting center….I would think New York would have to sweeten the deal with a big man not named Eddy Curry.

RickyRubio9ParticipantYou mean Aaron Gray isn’t starting potential!? :O

PlatypusParticipantEither Gray or David West would move up or even Darius Songailla

ZeroParticipantThe only trades for the Hornets, besides trading for cap space, should be finding Chris Paul’s 2nd man.

bkb77ParticipantI’ve thought that this is a possiblity since CP3 was open to trade, I could see a sign & trade of D.lee,Curry,Chandler,2 future 1st to NO for CP3, James Posey,& Jullian Wright. That saves $ for NO, they get a all-star back in Lee,10m off next yr for Curry,Chandler is a solid starter & has Potential, & 2 future 1st which could be lotto picks, & they get rid of posey’s bad contract. & They all-ready have two young guards in collison & Thorton.

joecheck88Participantthe knicks need to keep their draft picks(i mean the ones they still have, u know the ones in 2013 and beyond, lol). if they can get chris paul, more power to them but i dont see that happening, i heard they had a better deal from portland that they didnt take. but why al jefferson? he doesnt fit that system, imo. certainly doesnt fit with chris paul.
