a Raptors fan I will be constantly praying on these two teams downfall this year which is a shame because I like how these teams have improved their future during the off season. Toronto owns the Knicks upcoming pick and Denver has the right to swap that pick with theirs. Where do you think they end up?

It’s funny because the Knicks have Afflalo and Anthony two players that were very good during their time with the Nuggets. Their might be a chance for them to also aquire Lawson for free which could really be a pain in the aese for Nuggets fans.

With the good role players the Knicks brought in to compliment the triangle and Melo I don’t see them finishing bottom five in the league like most are predicting and I fear they may compete for a playoff spot.

Denver still has a ton of depth and a roster that is finally finding its form after Lawson will likely be dealt with and a new direction is formed. I do see them finishing bottom five though.

More of a dream than reality but I would love to see the Raptors win a top 3 pick in the lotto abd land Skal Labissiere in this draft. It would be the ultimate slap in the basketball worlds face if the Raps landed him while only trading Andrea Bargnani on a salary dump lol.

If he’s injured or traded, they’ll be looking at one of the leagues worst records. Possibly the worst.

From 17-65 to over .500 with the additions of Lopez, Afflalo and Brewer? I don’t see it unless Melo plays like it is 2012…but since he got his money I don’t see him making a huge difference. The Knicks have only won over 42 games one time since 2002 (In 2012 and that was a big surprise to many).

This organization is dysfunctional and they did add some decent role players but with Fisher still coaching and Melo chucking up shots without getting his teammates involved I can’t see them winning more than 37 games at the most. The rest of the East is also improving for the most part.

Don’t forget Kyle O’Quinn and Derrick Williams. That’s a joke. Sorta. Although, according to this very forum, Williams was a “can’t miss superstar”. (So I suppose it’s only a matter of time before he begins to dominate.) Meanwhile, Jerian Grant is (at least theoretically) one of the most NBA-ready rookies. Plus add in whatever extra positives Porzingis provides.

But, of course, the biggest addition by far is Anthony himself. Melo missed 42 games last season (including the final 30). And once JR and Shump were traded (April 5), the tank went into full effect. By the end of the season, that team that took the court would have embarrassed Sam Hinkie.

So I’m totally not being a homer (I swear!) when I say the current roster is really not that bad, actually. Not in 2016, anyways. What kills the Knicks longterm is trading away so many picks. Thus the future is fairly well f*cked.

P.S. Oh, and also, for what it’s worth, the Atlantic is awful. (Toronto’s pedestrian, the Nets are nothing, Sixers suck and Boston blows.)

I think NY will def. be better than Denver this year both teams are trending in different directions. I think with the free agent additions of the Knicks and nice influx of youth they are def. going to be more competitive this year. Although they are improving I don’t think they have a shot at a playoff berth.

As for the Nuggets they are a team that is influx and need to figure out what they want to do with their rebuild and form a new identity. I think they will be one of the worst teams in the NBA this year.
