Run the cross article the Knicks interest in Monta Ellis on SI.com. Do you like the fit in New York????

I have to admit has alot of Pros and Cons playing in the New York. One reasons Hey you in madison garden play front of celebrity & passion fan too. Basketball aspect of thing I know Ellis want play with playoff contender and Knicks needs another spark plug off the bench to help out Melo. The big question is Monta Ellis willing put his ego to the side and taking a JR Smith role to be 6th man off the beach (which i don’t believe he willing to do that I know he want to be a starter).

They could always use some more multi-dimensional players who play both sides of the court

I agree with you, they should definitely stay away from Ellis.

How inefficient do they want their offence to be??? Also, how do you share shots between melo, amare, monta, and bargnani? They are never going to go far with this many shot happy guys

i don’t understand their logic at all. How could they even afford another ball dominant player thats gonna cost atleast 10 mil. a year. This would be a stupid move, they need some good role players and guys who are good off the ball along with some decent big guys. they have no Low post presence. i just don’t see how Ellis and Anthony could work. yea maybe they could score 75 points together once every 5 or 6 games and you might get lucky and the other team be cold and you just ourtscore them but that will not happen much, and no way you get outta the first round. Defensively you’d likely get burned. I love watching Anthony play, he’s such a smooth player, but he is a VERY ball dominant player. He is a straight up scorer and thats basically what Monta is. it makes more sense to me to sign Tyreke Evans than Monta Ellis. Evans has some play-making skills in addition to needing the ball in his hands. Idk what the Knicks are trying to do these days

As a Raptors fan I personally love these moves. They could always amnesty Stoudemire and then target a decent PG and big who’s games compliment Melo’s, but I think I would rather see this. This team would likely run 75% of thier offence through ISO lol.

they already do. mike woodson game plan is very much like mike brown’s where in he’ll coach you well defensively and create good rotations and systems in place their and on offense just give it to the star talent he has and have him create. its no surprise. its what he did in atlanta with Joe Johnson getting all the touches and freedom to do whatever he wanted and he’s doing it in New York with melo. to the knicks, they are looking for another player who can create offense aside from anthony.

The only way he goes to NY if Isiah Thomas comes back and pulls this horrible move. They don’t have the money to sign him and they don’t need his game.

I dont see how the Knicks can get him. Im not sure what contracts they have that could total Ellis’s salary.
Another thing as a Knick fan I dont want to tak on any contracts longer then the 2014-15 season. Right now the Knicks have no guaranteed contracts for the 2015-16 season. They could essentially rebuild a whole new team. Felton has a 3.75 million dollar player option thats it.They could have as much as 60 million in cap space
