The Knicks have been irrelevant for a long time, but I actually think theyve made positive moves this year to date. They will be a ways off the pace for a few years yet, but i really like some of the guys they have picked up. I also like Fizdale as a coach.

It depends how Porzingis comes back obviusly. The thing is, if he loses his agility through this injury, he has skills and a jumper. He could pack on some weight and be a big block of a human like Arvydas Sabonis was in Portland. Lets hope he can get back to playing the 4, and that Mitchell Robinson works out.

Knox looks like a gun. Frank has good length and is a few years away, but he can potentially be very good too. Sneaky pickup in Hezonja as well. He was majorly disappointing in Orlando, but when the Magic declined the option on him, he suddenly started showing some stuff and getting his ass into gear. I wouldnt give up on him yet.

If the Knicks stay the course and add in some lotto picks, I think theyll be better than most expect in 2-3 years. Ntilikina-Hezonja-Knox-Porzingis-Robinson is a very long lineup that can potentially defend and shoot the 3 ball well. If you can do those things well in the NBA, you tend to be in the conversation.

They are finally making the correct moves. Need to see Mitchell and Knox against top talent. As long as they can hold their own and compete. Take each day and add to that. I wish Frank would be more aggressive. He gets in the lane and then automatically is looking to pass. Thats great but sometimes there are no passes and he must shoot it but doesnt. That will come with time I hope. Also got to see how Burke can develop under Fizdale too

make no mistake, the knicks will be bad this year, but Knox and Mitchell Robinson are two key players in the future. I see some Paul George potential in Knox and I see a little of Marcus Camby in Robinson. Since they will be terrible this year, they’ll get another high draft pick next year combine that with KP returning and many free agents wanting to come to the knicks and you now have a credible team going forward.  I’m really hoping Zion Williamson is there when the knicks make their pick next year.

The Knicks if they renew Porz in due course won’t have major cap room next summer unless they stretch or buyout Noah’s deal. With Porz out long term Mudiay, Knox, Ftank N and co should all play bigger roles and get good court time.

If there is a year the Knicks need a lucky lottery pick it may well be next year RJ Barrett is the sort of well rounded guy who could be a good fit for the Knicks. He’s not a highlight reel type guy like a Denis Smith or Zach Lavine but has a fluent game and could well be able to handle the big stage in MSG well.

Zion Williamson looks a hoss like freak and the Garden would love him, the other top guys like Little and Sekou, I haven’t seen so much of.

But with a fit Porz alongside a good pick and the other decent talent then the Big Apple becomes an appealing FA destination. Players have egos and giving the Knicks their first real success since the days of Big Pat could make the a global superstar let alone if they won for first time since Hotel California had recently been released.

With Porzingis out this year they gotta pull all the grimy and shady tank job moves in order to finish in last place and hope they get a top 3 pick in this years draft.

Theyve been drafting well. Ntilikina seems to be a mistake but they decided to draft for potential and stuck to their guns which will pay off in the long run. It seems like drafting Knox ahead of both Bridges may also turn out to be smart.

I’m crazy. I had Robinson listed as the 10th best guy in the draft. He’s not playing THAT well, but he’s got my hopes up.

I wouldn’t pin my hopes for the Knicks on Porz holding up long term or 2 teenage rookies.

The Knicks need to get a top 3 pick next season to be in the mix for a legit star

When was the last time Robinson played competitive basketball? I’m genuinly curious about that because it appears to me that for someone who has so little experience he is pretty far ahead of where I would have expected.

There’s a lot to like about his game — I love big men who play with energy, are bouncy athletic and bring some toughness to the court, and he features all of those things.

From what I’ve seen of summer league so far he’s probably been the biggest surprise, in large part because I expected so little.
