KnickerbockParticipantLast year, I did pretty well in the Draft Day Challenge, ranking 57th. This year, I don’t see the same results. This year was hard to predict just because of all the big name college players at all the positions across the board. Here’s my draft, feel free to critique, I want to make any changes before the draft.

TRC1991Participantyour guesses are as good as anyones but 1 thing
you have the clippers drafting 2 point guards…they just acquired mo williams and not to mention traded for eric bledsoe on draft day last year. I think one of those picks will be used on a 4 for griffin’s backup

rickyrubio10ParticipantGood job! My only problem with your mock is Alec Burks. I think he’ll be long gone by 18. Other than that I thought your draft was reasonable.

KnickerbockParticipantBurks gave me some trouble when writing up my mock, he could’ve gone anywhere from 6 onward. A lot of the teams I had passing on him like Golden State, Utah, and New York seemed to have much more pressing needs rather than taking the best player available. Come my final draft, I expect Burks to be much higher.

4hff4f427ParticipantI think the Rockets are solid enough at point gaurd(with Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic) and should be perhaps targeting a center or small forward. And even if they were going for a point gaurd, I’d think they would take Freddette over Morris if he were available.

KnickerbockParticipantI’m not so sure about the Rockets being set at point guard. Lowry is no franchise PG and can’t fill the shoes left by Aaron Brooks (who put up great numbers in Houston) quite yet. Dragic seems to be nothing more than a filler backup. They should target a center, yes, but I think they’re still optimisitic about Yao, not to mention they have young guys like Jordan Hill and Hasheem Thabeet, who are still maturing. Small forward is also a need, but I have them catching Hamilton late in the round, and there are a plethora of SFs late in the 1st.

kobyzParticipantabout the Portland pick, you and a lot of others have them taking Kenneth Faried, i disagree with this and i don’t think that’s what they gonna to do, look, now they have Gerald Wallace on their hands, so now drafting Kenneth Faried will make less profit as Wallace could fill the role of an undersize 4 with great rebounding, it will be much more benefit for them at this point to look at different type of big, someone who will help with inside present and scoring that they luck other than LA, so someone like Nikola Vucevic or Trey Thompkins will be more reasonable pick.
