BasterdInABasketParticipantWish I could be witnessing this.. Anybody watching the game what are your thoughts is he just in one of those zones all game? If this is gonna happen it’s definitely gonna be against this Indy D. Hope he gets in in the fourth and pushes for 82 but kinda doubt Kerr does

BleedGreen808ParticipantSpecial stuff from Klay but the Pacers defense was terrible and let him get into a rhythm. So many times they fell asleep when he had already gotten going. While watching the game I noticed that the 6 threes that he missed were all open to wide open looks. He really could have had 78 in 3 quarters.

GronounoursParticipant78 because he was supposed to shoot 14/14 from 3?

BleedGreen808ParticipantThey were some of his easier looks from 3 last night. I know it’s not realistic to go 14/14 from 3 but he was open on those shots. My point was that he could have had even more than 60 because of Indy losing him multiple times at the 3 point line when he was on fire.

For_Never_EverParticipantIt’s really nice to play along side KD, Curry and Green.

BasterdInABasketParticipantAgree.. notlike he’s playing alongside Smush Parker, Chris Mihm and Kwame Brown. Obviously GS plays incredible team basketball but it would be interesting to see if by the end of the year Klay Steph and KD all had one of those games where they knew they were in the zone and were playing a horrid defensive team like Indy to see how many points they could score a la Kobes final 50 shot game.

MatosParticipantCome on. Give this guys some credit though. This is the same guy who scored 38 in a quarter. Quit acting like he doesn’t have that ability to heat up and stay on a roll. Kudos to Klay man.

IndianaBasketballParticipant60 points in 29 minutes. Had the ball a total of 88.4 seconds… 33 shots and just 11 dribbles.
THIS is why I never thought GSW would have problems adjusting like the Heat did. These guy don’t need to dominate the ball to be effective, they all can catch and shoot, they all move well without the ball and the ball moves side to side. These guys move the ball for ball movement, not just for assists.
I love watching them play.

SubZeroParticipantHe’s their 3rd option.

The GoatParticipantKlay Thompson vs Reggie Miller
Who you got?
May seem a bit ridiculous at first, and the answers we get here may be biased due to who everyone supports, but I think this is a legitimate question now, despite Reggie’s illustrious HOF career.
Klay has a ring and is a better defender than what Reggie ever was IMHO.
Thoughts?

HitsterParticipantKlay and Reggie were slightly different types of players although both are great 3 point shooters, I think Klay might have the ability to be a better player at his peak than Reggie was but I doubt he’ll have Reggie’s longevity but few players did.
In the Pacers game it looks as if Steph Curry MVP and KD effectively realised Klay was having a career night and had his shooting boots on so were just faciltating him. It’s rare we see Steph with a pass first PG type stats sheet.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThompson is very similar to Reggie in my opinion. Both are great shooters. I think Thompson has a quicker release. Both are great moving without the ball. Both are great when it comes to reading/setting up the defense and using screens. Both have phenomenal footwork when it comes to setting their feet. Both are great off of the catch or putting the ball on the floor for a dribble or two. I do like the fact that Thompson can post up some. Reggie really never showed a post up game. Reggie was a better free-throw shooter, but it’s not like Thompson isn’t very good there.
Thompson is a better one on one defender, but Reggie had a good defensive IQ and he knew where he was supposed to be, etc. Neither had a great floor game when it comes to rebounds, assists, etc.
Where Thompson isn’t touching Reggie is competitiveness. Reggie would cut your eyes out. He’d fight you. Just a nasty competitor lol. And though Thompson has made some big shots, he’s not touching Reggie yet. The higher the pressure and bigger the stage, the more Reggie delivered. Reggie was THE franchise player of the Pacers. He carried the city. He was everything lol. Such a leader.
So I’d go with Reggie at this point.
