L.ShapParticipantTyreke Evans is a point guard as to Dwayne Wade the point guard…. in another words, he can bring it up the court, but he is more effective as a scoring guard.
This website has the kings picking Wall in 2010. How great would a Wall/Tyreke backcourt be?

jeff416ParticipantI dont think that would be a good fit it would be very talented but neither of them can shoot I would rather have a player that can shoot at PG for the Kings.

who.am.i.nbadraftdotnetParticipantJeff~ don’t forget that neither of those guys is even 20 (i believe) which gives them plenty of time to develop a jumpshot. the kings have at least 2 seasons to go before hey can even be considered contenders anyway.
I also agree that they wouldn’t be a great fit in the backcourt, although I think it has more to do with the fact that both need the ball in their hands a lot, which means that the kings best scorer, Kevin Martin, will probably fall short in touches, and less to do with their lack of jumpers.

gatorheelsParticipantIt would pretty solid but one of them would have to greatly improve their jumpshot. If Evans shows he can run the point effectively this season then it is possible that the Kings could pass on Wall if they do get the 1st pick. Depending on what kind of value Wall has they may trade the pick.

thaprodigyParticipantThey won’t draft Wall unless they trade Kevin Martin so they’ll probably draft Favors if he shows he can play the 3.

quincey hodgesthat back court wont work because of what someone said about both of there jump shot. though it would be a pretty exciting back court to watch..not many wins though.

llperezI’ll say one thing for the Kings, they really went all out on the rebuilding process. With the exception of giving Udrih that big deal, they have cleared the way for the young guys to develop. Even their buy out of Gooden last year had a lot to do with not wanting him to take away minutes from Spencer and Thompson. The young guys have no excuses for not developing properly. If Sean May has anything in him, we will find out this year.

ZKParticipantI think they will take best player available, honestly. Thompson and Hawes are nice players, they will both be capable starters, but neither are the stud guys who have to start. If an upgrade comes along, they’ll take it. Small forward is a tough position, but they have guys who can play there, so they don’t necessarily have to draft one. But we do need to see if ‘Reke can play point guard (I think he can) before we assess the front court.

quincey hodgesmy thing is..has he shown he can play the point?..from highsch to college to summer leauge all ive seen is he can score and he can be a combo guard that can find himself shots ala larry huges. seems liek another big guard who can handle that people are trying and hoping to make into a pg. personally i think he will have a career similar to larry where he ends up being a pretty good scorer combo but never a set pg. he just hasnt shown he can do that and think pass first shot second or pass and shoot

llperezTrue, but you could say the same thing about guys like Arenas and Westbrook who didn’t play point in either highschool or college. I have no idea if Evans will be anything special, but after Griffin, I think 2-10 was all a coin flip in the draft. Tyreke does have the ability to get into the paint and play through contact. If he can learn to play point, then he should be good.

McWinningParticipanti think their future is decent. i think May is a steal and is a good player but they should trade him because he doesnt fit the up tempo offense im guessing they will run with Evens.
