lalailaParticipantin my opinion Michael Gilchrist is by far the most underrated player in this draft at leat on this site..he is out of loterry?? Really ? This is the same kid who was named as a new prodigy and he just keeps improving…first of all he has motor and work ethic of allstar pro, secondly he is even younger than Drummond a year younger than Rives Miller and two years younger than LeBryan or Rakeem..so if you a saying 19yo Nash has amazing size in his 6’7 230 how about Mike..He is 17, he was already listed 6’7 221 at the nike hoops game he is still 17 today and his newest measurements are 6’7 232! pretty huge i think, plus Mike has really long arms..what if the guy who still will be only 18yo by the draft time will be like 6’8 240 huge sf with his defense and winning mentallity? plus his scoring is underrated for sure..last summer playing for USA in world championship he avg 15ppg in only 19minutes per game! 16points in nike hoop summit game and the same result in micky d shows a little of his scoring too..yes im not saying he is on Barnes level yet but he is pretty good scorer for a guy who still is work in progress and is so so young..
believe me or not i’m with Chad Ford who has him #3 in his Top 100, Michael really has all the tools to be something close to a new Scottie!

WizardofOzParticipantYeah also think he’s underrated. His motor is UNBELIEVEABLE! Whether you ask him to defend, rebound, or score at the HS level, he does it. He produces in many different ways.
He needs to fix he shootiong mechanics though.

posilaParticipantHim and Davis arent going to be that far apart in my opinion. Gilchrist should be a top 10 pick. no WAY he should not be a lottery pick.

JunkYardDogParticipantit could be a very good thing for him to fall after the top 10 in the strong next draft and finish in a better team where he could keep on improving behind a good veteran (pierce…?)

uknationParticipantJust because he’s not high in this mock draft doesn’t mean he isn’t a lotto pick in the mind of NBA teams( and from the write ups i’ve read he is in the lotto in the minds of nba gms
