Heres the stats for Keyshawn Hall in conference play, 21.4 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.2 spg, 0.5 bpg, 2.4/5.3 3P (47%) 46% FG, 84% FT. 9 games overall, 2 vs. Kansas, Texas Tech, Arizona St., Houston and Iowa St. being 6 of the 9 games. He’s older for a JR and will be 22 years old on draft day, 6’7 250’ish. A bit chunky but plays athletic. Decent length for a guard maybe not for a forward.

So the numbers look good and he looks the part physically but I dont know how to pull up shot charts for college players but the guy takes and makes alot of difficult shots. He can create his own shot, reposition to find open space on the floor as a shooter, finishes through contact, can handle the ball, playmake. I think he’s a sleeper for this draft.

His age is going to make it difficult for him to go say in the lottery but I think theres a very strong case for Hall to go in the top 20 of this deep draft. I currently have him ranked 15th on my big board and I have him ahead of Liam Mcneely and Kon Knueppel. Although that may not be a realistic projection just due to the age difference.

I just feel that one skill of shooting specifically is not something you project to be impacted by age. If that makes sense. A 30% shooter at the age of 19 or 22 needs to improve thier shooting and a 50% shooter whether hes 19 or 22 should be considered translatable at the next level if the player has the size, length and athletisism needed for the NBA. I feel like Hall has that and being older is not going to change that.

Not sure what his upside is or a comparable role in the NBA. Theres really not many players with his skillset that arent allstar level. Maybe Miles Bridges or Max Strus?

What are your thoughts on Keyshawn Hall?

I haven’t caught a UCF game since early in the season, but I was watching some video clips of Keyshawn Hall and – well there’s a lot to like. He’s more creative off the dribble than he looks, and he has incredible touch effortlessly with either hand. He has a fantastic way of creating his shots. I’d say he’s not an elite athlete and just an average defender. That’s not saying much though, just what I’ve come away with…

I’d be a little hesitant with a guy who went to three different high schools over his final three years, and then three colleges in three years. It might be nothing, but I would think that would be something teams have to look at. Hall is having a great year. His size makes him a tough matchup in college. If they put a big on him, he is comfortable on the perimeter either shooting or driving. He will also take smaller guards to the low block. His shot is falling from the from behind the arc, but I don’t love the form. The footwork doesn’t look right, and looks like it is a broken ankle waiting to happen. Still, he has size and style of play going for him. Like a lot of guys in this era, NIL might make for a tough choice. I wouldn’t put him in the same category as McNeeley as a draft prospect. He has missed a month with his injury, but really won me over with how he was playing after Maui. Kon Knueppel is tough to place. He shows well athletically on defense, which matters. He moves well off the ball and can shoot, but that athletically doesn’t come through when he puts the ball on the floor and gets inside the arc. The NBA has a large group of players for whom 2/3 to 3/4 of their shots come from three, but how many of those guys justify being a lottery pick?

Keyshawn I’d guess would likely look at NIL options again this summer unless he got a first round promise. I didn’t know he’d moved around HS that much too. But given his good scoring and shooting he’ll be in high demand if he enters the portal again.

I’d say he can be a 2nd rounder when he does declare but I’d have to see a bit more to make him a first rounder as he has been so nomadic in recent years.
