 Well we all know that this is the inaugural season for the new look Nets.  Sure signing Deron Williams and trading for Joe Johnson were big for the franchise but I believe if the Nets want to succeed and eventually make a playoff splash they need Brook Lopez to have a good year.  Lopez always had the talent and the potential but faltered because of injury.  He could have been a top 5 center a few years back, but he does not have to put up top 5 center numbers for the Nets to be successful this season.  He could put up 17-19 points, 6-7 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game; all he has to do is be a low post presence.  If he can some how get it done the Nets can have a great year in Brooklyn.

Wallace,Johnson,and Williams all compliment each other well it’s just Humphries and Lopez do not. Much like Bynum and gasol Lopez is forced to operate the high post due to kris being a low post player which is why his rebounding and blocks have went down. If they can learn to play off each other better they will be a scary team

I think the Nets players balance each other out well, so thet biggest thing they’ll need is for guys to stay healthy. Brook Lopez only played missed 61 games last season and it will hurt them if he misses so much time next season. I think Joe Johnson will benefit from playing with a top point guard again and I expect a lot of his numbers to be improved.

 @igetbuckets ……. That is the exact reason I think that Blatche could end up stealing the starting position from Humphries as he compliments both bigs nicely with his ability to post up with his B2B, or step out and hit jumpers or make plays from the high-post.
