esperanzafleet69Participantnews has come out saying the dallas mavericks are VERY interested in kevin martin… AND they are willing to throw josh howard at them who is on a team option for next season, which they would probably not sign… giving them around 18 million to work with in free agency… i think the kings are gonna do it too…

TRC1991Participantthe mavericks would be better off getting a point guard of the future for josh howard

R-Dot-13ParticipantPg of the future…
Have you heard of Rodrigue Beaubois?
Hes the PG of the future of the Mavs.0 - Posted on: Fri, 01/22/2010 - 12:35pm #249675

llpereztough call for the kings. I thnik KMart is almost underrated on this site and he could be a great fit in dallas. But if the kings think he and tyreke don’t mesh, then maybe clearing up that cap space could really come in handy and thye could go after a big name free agent.

the I in winParticipantsome one already beat me to Beaubois. If they are to give up Kevin Martin for J-Ho then they should try to give a bad contract with it or at least get a pick.

llperezwhat i read was the kings would only do this if the mavs also took nocioni who the kings really want to get rid of. I believe i read martin and nocioni for howard, barea, and gooden. That would free up about 17 million for the kings this off season.

TheFactionCoalition.comParticipantNo way Martin is traded before the deadline unless someone offers a solid center, which won’t happen. If I’m the Kings I know I have one HUGE weakness. A strong center. That is the piece they will focus on. My guess is Martin would get traded during the offseason, if at all. They could still make a very dynamic backcourt and they’ll use this season as a barometer. I don’t think they try to make space before the deadline for this years FA class because who knows if anyone is even interested in signing, Sac isn’t the hot spot for FA’s…

“The Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns also are reportedly tracking Martin.”
i think the kings would look into trading with Phoenix for maybe Frye or Amare and some picks0 - Posted on: Fri, 01/22/2010 - 3:07pm #249717
SportsNinjaParticipantNo doubt they would for Amare, but not for Frye. He’s not who they want, he’s the opposite of who they want. I don’t think the Suns want to trade Amare right now, and I think the Kings would want some assurance Amare stays before trading Martin for him. They have no need to get a guy for just this season unless they want cap relief, and I doubt that’s their main goal. I would love to see Gortat and Ryan Anderson on this team…
