Raef LaFrentzParticipantKevin Love, Minnesota Timberwolves Forward, And Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals Wide Receiver, Raise Awareness About Breast Cancer Athletes Kevin Love and Larry Fitzgerald are raising awareness for breast cancer in an amazing way. Fitzgerald, an Arizona Cardinal’s wide receiver who lost his mother to breast cancer in 2003 donned a pair of clippers in a two-minute YouTube video called ‘SpreadLove,’ shaving Love’s locs as a bold symbol of support for those suffering from the disease.
The athletes’ gutsy move and video marked the launch of an online campaign to raise money for the cause — for every view the video receives Love and Fitzgerald have pledged to donate 25 cents to the charities Bright Pink and American Cancer Society/Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. But Love and Fitzgerald’s pledge doesn’t stop there. For every retweet on Twitter and like or share on Facebook, the men have also promised to make an equal donation of up to $250,000. “This is a special campaign that is particularly close to my heart,” said Love, a Minnesota Timberwolves power forward.
In addition to Fitzgerald, breast cancer has hit close to home for Love as well. His close friend Betty Goldie was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, Love revealed. ————————————————————————————————————————
This is a great thing that these two are doing! Cancer is something that has impacted nearly everyones lives in one way or another. On a side note, this is probably the only reason I’d ever shave my head because I fear that I have a weird shaped head.

FORGETABOUTITParticipantI had a aunt who passed because of this. This really makes me happy to see big name athletes doing their part to use their names and power to spread the word about fighting cancer. Props to these guys.

ProudGrandpaParticipantIf you think about it, Fitz and K-Love are very similar. They both are thought to be the best in the league at going up and coming down with the ball (i.e the catch, the rebound, etc.)

FORGETABOUTITParticipantExcept one is super bald now and the other hasn’t cut his hair in what looks like 9 years.
