Awesome article on NBA.com. He says Kevin Durant is a s good as any 21 year old in NBA History, I couldn’t agree more, but what does everyone else think??? Personally I think he will be better than LeBron in a few years.

You’re not giving LeBron enough credit. We’re witnessing possibly the greatest and most entertaining basketball player ever. He could arguably go down as the greatest pro sport athlete of all time…Yes Durant is good, and probably has a great shot at the HoF. But since we’ve had LeBron around since he was 18 I think we tend to under-rate him in some aspects.

You don’t know what you go till it’s gone. That might be the case with LeBron. Although I know I’m watching every game of him I can.

i don’t think he will ever be better then lebron. I don’t hate on either guy, but there’s just a lot about his game that i don’t see durant bringing to the table. But he will be great no doubt.

um… yes I’m well aware of where LeBron will be in a few years, my point is that KD has that MJ/Kobe competitiveness that I don’t see in LeBron. Did u ever see MJ or Kobe dancing on the sidelines?? Hell no, LeBRon is great and could possibly be the best ever, I just like Durant’s chances better. I bet he also wins more titles than LeBron

KD could become a greater scorer than LeBron, but not a greater player, KD’s Dribbles, passes, rebounding and defense are way worse

lebron is the ultimate point forward and all-around player and there will never be another like him. BUT if KD averages 28-30 per year, boosts his rebounds to 10-ish, and wins more championships….I could see an argument beginning to formulate. I LOVE his competiveness, good point henry

i agree with this guy on howard cause he will never be like hakeem ……. i think that durant can be good as lebron even better but you need to realize that you cannot always comparise their stats cause lebron is more versatile and he will always be better passer but we dont look for new lebron, we need guy that will dominate the game on his own way (like lebron is currently doin) and i think that durant can be that guy and in about few years he will be equal to lebron

i love how well durant is doing and getting his teams wins. it makes those who say hes nothing but a scorer look pretty dumb. the kid is a very good plaer as well as being a great scorer

Yea Durant has done everything a SF is supposed to do and then some…He’s a top 6 or 7 player in my eyes. The man makes scoring the ball look super duper easy. With that said, I think Lebron is better or on par at everything with Durant except shooting. Durant will be a top 3 or 4 player in the future probably, but he’ll never be better than Lebron. My bets are on Lebron to go down as the best player of all-time when he calls it quicks. The man is unbelievably good at just about every aspect of basketball.

I also find it silly that just because Lebron has fun, that he’s not competitive. That man has a business-like approach to the game, you can see it when he plays. Don’t think that he isn’t competitive now because he has fun with his teammates when they’re winning games.

I couldn’t agree more Iggy and Tezo. That’s honestly frustrates me to no end. “Just cause LeBron loves life and what he does he doesn’t care about winning grr..” Stupidest thing I’ve heard. Especially the people who back Noah talking shit on LeBron during that game. I guess they never saw a game when Noah was at Florida…

And I hate these topics because it makes people defending LeBron (me) seem like I have something against Durant…Even if LeBron is number 1 and Durant is number two (which he isn’t) the drop-off from one to two would be significant.
