Chilbert arenasParticipantThough I am still disappointed about it I really can’t blame him. His quality of life is going to sky rocket, and Steve Kerr is just so damn likeable. Apparently Klay Steph Iggy and Dray all showing up to meeting was big for KD.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe first thing I noticed is how different this was than LeBron’s decision and just the way Miami went about that victory introductory press conference. This was extremely classy. No championship guarantees. Just about getting to work. Durant is one humble dude.
Another thing that stood out is Durant’s mentality that going to GSW was the hard decision while staying in OKC was easy. Reason being because he’s leaving what was comfortable and all he knew to go to a place where he doesn’t know anyone. He’s going completely out of his comfort zone.

goneParticipantKD had the luxury of seeing what Lebron did wrong, I know in his mind he decided to do everything the opposite of how Lebron did it.

kobyzParticipantWarriors are so lucky, it’s unbelivible how so much things happened together to creat a case for them being able to sign him, durant is a top 5 talent all time, league is over for the next 6 years!

benny15Participanti liked the part in the end before they wrapped things up that Steve Kerr named all the players on their roster that had to move on in order for them to get kevin durant. thought it was a classy move by him, acknowledging their contributions to the team and wished them the best moving forward

cabbycabParticipantBeyond basketball, maybe he was ready to move out of OKC. I mean, I’m sure OKC is a great city but the Bay Area is one of the greatest places on earth to live and that goes double if you got the $$ to live comfortably. Also he gets to rub elbows with tech billionaires and think of life after bball. I think this is a very interesting move. Myers seems genuienly shellshocked that Duran is sitting next to him still.

VintageKobeParticipantKD is mentally prepared for the hate. When LeBron went to Miami he was generally shocked by the media backlash. KD learned from LeBrons decision and seems ready to shoulder that hate.
Honestly the more he talked the more I respected the decision. For a standard of life perspective and from a basketball perspective he made the best choice. As a millionaire there’s no way I’d choose living in OKC over The bay.
Plus, as good as Westbrook is and as much as KD loves him, those 2 did not fit on the same squad. People have been saying it for years. They’re both supremely talented so they could go far in just that, but they never had the natural chemistry
