good read on ESPN.com about the fight during training camp prior to the 95-96 season where Steve Kerr attempted to punch Jordan during a scrimmage. Jordan had a chip on his shoulder after the Bulls were eliminated in the playoffs in 1995 and because of his failed attempt at baseball. I can only imagine how fired up and intense he was prior to the start of the season. I couldn’t really imagine Steve Kerr wanting to punch anybody. If you’ve seen him call games on TNT, he’s really a laid back guy. Jordan really must’ve been riding him hard that day. I like how the article continues and states that the team came together after the incident and Jordan had to realize he needed to trust his teammates and not be such of a jerk all the time. It states the team really came together after the fight and went on to have a historic season, winning 72 games and the title, beginning Chicago’s second three-peat.
