BigCat33ParticipantJust thinking about the past Kentucky teams under coach Cal from 2009-2010 until today and even in the future. With a lot of the top prospects choosing Kentucky and ultimately making the NBA, do you think its possible that one day within the next 5 years that an NBA line up could potentially have all 5 starters from Kentucky? I’m not Kentucky fan, I’m just figuratively speaking here.

Lotto StudParticipantAt one point and time, I actually thought UConn would be the topic for this discussion now.

ph90702It’s not going to happen. At most, there will be about thirty players from Kentucky in the NBA. That’s two and a half per team. It would require a team to have twice as many players as that from Kentucky alone, which is about half of the team.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantI don’t think that will happen but I do think it’s a real possibility that in maybe 2016 or 2017, Kentucky will have 3 guys make All-NBA 1st team (John Wall, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins).

MattP31ParticipantIt’s almost impossible. Not just the 30 teams and UK only getting 13 scholarships, but the way talent spreads out I see there being a better chance of someone having 5 UK guys on their team than a lineup of all UK guys. You’d need your best player at every position to come from UK, and that’s almost impossible because of the fact there are 30 teams and talented players elsewhere. Take the team with the least talent, someone like the Sixers with Noel could potentially draft a Towns and Harrison(Heat pick) this year but that’s only 3 guys. Even if they can get another pair of UK guys, how would they get guys from UK more talented than Embiid and Carter-Williams?

HitsterParticipantIt is possible but very unlikely, a team can be high in the lottery for several years but needs change, you could get 5 guys drafted from one college on a roster just about if the team had more than one first round pick and the GM liked the supporting guy knowing he fitted well with their main pick that year.
