llperezOn inside the NBA wednesday night after the games Kenny made this comment in regards to Manu: ” Manu is a top 2 or 3 sg in the NBA. DWayne wade has clearly separated himself from every other sg I’m the game, but after him who’s better then manu ?”

nateoak10ParticipantMonta > Joe
Joe may have just had an off year but either way I think Monta was better then him.
I think Monta and Manu are close for 3 but I can go with Manu at 3. But I really dont want to put him there cause I dont believe flopping should be rewarded. Wade is more efficient then Kobe and a better passer so yes I’d put Wade above Kobe. This year was not the Kobe of the past 2 years but more of the chucker Kobe that we saw before they got Pau

johnecoParticipantI’m not sayng this is better or worse than people’s thoughts above, just for comparison ranking them by this year’s regular season PER:
1) Dwyane Wade
2) Kobe Bryant
3) Manu Ginobili
4) Kevin Martin
5) Monta Ellis
6) Eric Gordon
7) Tony Allen!
8) Joe Johnson
9) Ray Allen
10) James Harden
I was surprised by Tony Allen. If you factor in his excellent D, far better than the 3 players above him, is it possible he is the 4th best SG??

TallmanNYCParticipantThere has been some signs of slippage in Kobe’s game the last two years. And Manu put up an awesome all around game this year, as well as the year before. But I see Manu as kind of like an ultimate glue guy doing anything and everything it takes to win, but not quite a "put the team on his back guy" like Kobe can be. I still have Kobe over Manu.

llperezAfter I posted this Kenny later clarified himself saying Kobe and wade were 1a and 1b. I guess he just forgot for a minute about kobe

doubledribblerParticipantSeems like everyone agrees on the top 3. I think there is a big separation from the first two to Ginobli, but then also a pretty decent gap between Ginobli and everyone after him at sg. I’m kind of surprised how high people are on Joe Johnson. Although I have issues with him because of how horrible he has been the last few years in the playoffs and how he’s had to dominate the ball so much to the detriment of other players on his team. Also seems like a lot of people don’t factor in defense. I think if they did, Eric Gordon would get more love and that’s before looking at how efficient he is on offense.

quinceyh1Even with Kobe slipping he’s still number one. No other shooting guard has the complete game. Three, mid range drive, post

SteroidParticipantKobe has slipped in athleticism, but he still is arguably the best SG, and by no means has Wade clearly seperated himself from Kobe. One could argue Wade is better than Kobe at this point, but Kobe has always been then more naturally skilled than Wade has at any point in his career. That is the main thing that seperates them. Wade still has his athleticism in tact at this point, while Kobe is more skilled. I could see Wade taking the #1 SG spot in a year or two by default because of Kobe aging.

Moon RiverParticipantWhere is Keith Bogans on this list? Easy hard core guys, its a joke.
Kobe is on the decline physically, but I still take him 24/7/365.
