paradigmnParticipantIt’s the dog days of summer and things are a little slow right now (besides the horrible fight between the Chinese and Georgetown)
Was looking at past NBA players when they were in high school and I stumbled across a mix of KENNY ANDERSON. While it’s not the most exciting mix in the world….it was played with the lyrics of Rakim and the beats of Eric B…..DAMN….old school….Rakim was killing it lyrically while Anderson was killing it on the court.
Just wanted to post this I guess because I was really a fan of New York naitives Eric B & Rakim and the fact that Kenny Anderson is one of the best point guards to come out of New York….this mix has a nice "East Coast" flavor to it.

ilike.panochasParticipantKenny Anderson was sick. People in the media says he never really lived up to his hype/potetial despite having a very good career and was often criticized undjustifyingly. I guess they expected him to have similar career to Isiah Thomas, that’s how talented Anderson was.

NJHooper95ParticipantKenny was one of the greatest High School Players ever, a great collegiate guard, and all-star caliber pg unitl he broke his wrist. Kenny ball-handling and court vision were ahead of his time. He had a very productive NBA career although he did not live up to the legendary guard we witness in High School, College, and a portion of his pro career.
One of the best to ever come out of NYC and thats saying alot.

DanEboyParticipantKenny Anderson is the reason why I started watching college basketball, and Rakim is the reason why I started listening to hip hop.

HitsterParticipantEric B and Rakim certainly bring back some memories for me when Hip Hop first began to become big in the UK. Paid in Full and Follow the Leader were good albums that I must admit I had forgotten about, I’ll have to check out the tracks on-line to refresh my memory.
Kenny Anderson probably never lived up to his initial hype considering he was an all star whilst still on his rookie deal and never really improved on his early promise for the Nets. I would have guessed that back in 1994 people probably saw him as going on to be a multiple All Star over the next 5 to 10 years.
