TarHeelRavenParticipantused to be fat……really fat. I just read he’s around 270 now and doing windmill dunks in practice after arriving in Chapel Hill last year weighing 315. He’s obviously worked his tail off to get into shape. The comparisons to Sean May are obvious. Highly skilled big-bodied guys who needed to shed weight to play in Roy’s up-tempo system. Meeks has his work cut out for him with matchups against Cauley-Stein, Dakari Johnson, Marcus Lee and Kentucky in Lexington. There’s also a guy named Jahlil Okafor coming into Duke who’s the number 1 recruit in the nation. I think Kennedy will hold his own in those match-ups. I’m not ready to call him an NBA prospect now but continued improvement could put him on the radar. I think he’ll have a big year for Carolina this year as their starting center.

SpacegrassParticipantHe will have to become a PF at the next level to succeed.

DunksNJordans23ParticipantThe dude is a great outlet passer so if he gets the board he will be fine as long as someone else busts their @$$ down the court. Also he rebounds at a high rate, he grabbed 6.1 rpg in 16.3 mpg, if he plays 26-28 minutes a night and that ratio stands true he will shoot up draft boards (probably).
Agreed on the PF thing too, by the way.

MattP31ParticipantI too think he can have an NBA career, but also think it’s as a PF. I also think he needs at least 3 years at Carolina before that happens

ncballerKendall Marshall was tweeting about how much of a problem Meeks was going to be next year after playing pickup. Heard that he more than held his own against Tyler Zeller and Hansbrough. Meeks also tweeted about a bleacher report article that called him UNC’s most vulnerable starter. He’s hungry (pun intended). I think he can be a double double guy next season.

SpacegrassParticipantIf you stretch his production out to 30mpg last year he was a 14ppg 11rpg guy that shot 55%fg
