Basketballfuture22ParticipantNO Gallon has a better handle. I think Gallon will be at OU for at least 2 seasons.

JoeWolf1I see where you are going with the offensive slightly pudgy big man( very Eddy Curryesque ) but at 6’9” Gallon would be a power forward in the league if he makes it at all, Undersized big men with conditioning issues have a tough time making it in the NBA (Blair is the exception even though he hasn’t played a game yet, the dude has an AWESOME work ethic ) No doubt he will have a good career at OU, but i don’t think it will translate to a good NBA career

JNixonParticipantEddie Curry doesnt have the perimeter skills Gallon has and he isnt close to as good a passer, and is a WWWAAAAAAYYYY worse rebounder. He reminds me of a mix of Kevin Love and Big Baby, because he has good feet (like Davis) and is a great passer (like Love).

JoeWolf1I think he is a Tractor Traylor type player great in college, good handle ( Tractor took it coast to coast a few times at Michigan ) and a solid rebounder and fundamental guy, but weight issues paired with a 6’8”-6’9” build killed him in the league despite a lottery selection, i dont know if Gallon will go lottery, but i think he will have a similar fate as Tractor

the microwaveParticipantsounds more like a shorter Oliver Miller to me.

JoeWolf1In body type yes, but Oliver Miller’s strength believe it or not was shot blocking, kind of shocking due to the fact he was 6’9” and literally ate his way out of the NBA, Gallon has more all-round game body type is the only Oliver Miller comparison i see

L.ShapParticipantI hear he’s actually 6’7″-6’8″.
I think Jeff Capel should do a good job of developing him and I actually think he’s gonna be a 4 year guy. He’s no one and done player, i can assure you that.
He’s kind of like Glen Davis.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 12:15pm #188714
