You stating that your a bitter cavs fan just made you lose all credibility, you should be mad at their horrible front office who blew a ton of high picks and also failed to give LeBron a second star.

That’s an opinion and I’m totally fine with someone saying that but you gotta give reasons. Also you couldn’t have chose a worse time to bring this up, Lebron has had 30+ points on 60%+ shooting the last 6 games.

Thats nice of you, but honestly you shouldnt be fine with someone saying it. Lebron is head and shoulders above KD.

Okay… I mean, granted stats don’t tell the whole story, and Lebron is certainly a better defender than Durant, but statistically, Lebron gets more assists than Durant. That is the only thing that Lebron is better at. Everything else is a wash, except that KD is significantly better from the stripe (90%ft vs 74%ft).

So, head an shoulders is probably a bit of a stretch, here.

What he is saying is that LeBron is in his own tier in terms of the overall impact LeBron has on a game.

And what I’m saying is KD is right there and saying that he doesn’t belong in a discussion with James is ridiculous.

It’s really not. LeBron effects the game in so many more ways at a much higher level.

I am talking about just watching the games, not stats. But since you want to bring up stats we can do that to.
Lebron shoots a better % from the field, better at rebounding, way better at assists, better at steals, less turnovers and has a better PER.

Watching the games it is easy to see that Lebron is better at defense, better at passing and getting his teammates involved, better at rebounding, can get to the rim at will, and has pretty much caught Durant in 3 point shooting.

If Lebron wanted to he could lead the league in scoring every year. He could lead the league in assists, and maybe rebounding. (Not all at the same time)

Durant could lead the league in scoring, but thats it. He is a amazing scorer and basketball player. Lebron is on another level.

Okay, let’s not be ridiculous. Lebron is outrebounding KD this year by half a rebound per game. Lebron is getting 0.1 more steals. KD has the better TS%. Turnover are virtually even, as well (.3 difference). And we’re talking 4.5 vs 7 assists. So, again the only real difference is assists.

In terms of watching the game, Lebron is a capable but vastly overrated defender. KD isn’t as good, but he can hold his own. Durant can take over a game just as well as Lebron.

And no. Lebron couldn’t lead the league in everything every year. If he could he would. If your coach is stopping you because trying to would be horrible for the team, then no, you can’t lead the league in everything. Jeez, man. Brian Scalabrine could lead the league in scoring every year if he was on a team that let him take 40 shots a game.

You are the one who brought up stats and Lebron is pretty much leading in every stat.
The coach isnt stopping Lebron from leading the league in scoring, Lebron is stopping himself. If he set a goal to win the scoring title before the season I guarentee you he would do it. He is a very unselfish player (Durant is to) and is constantly trying to get him teammates involved and to make the right basketball play.

Turnovers being almost even doesnt help Durant’s case. Lebron has a higher usage rate and often runs the point.

I like Durant. He is a great player, nice guy, and easily the 2nd best player in the league. That being said, he is not on Lebron’s level.

I would say they’re fairly close. But Lebron is def better. Lebron is just so effcient because nobody can stop him from getting to the basket, where as Durant relies on shooting from outside more and when you do that eventually you’re going to have a tough shooting night some games.

Although if I were starting a team, I’d pick Durant mainly because he’s 24 and still getting better. Imagine how good he might be in 4 years. Although for this year and next I’d easily take Lebron.

You could put Lebron on a team filled with role players and he will get you to the playoffs. Heck he once took a team of role players to the NBA finals. Durant is great, but I dont think he could do that. He doesnt have the same effect and level of impact on games.

Durant doesn’t make teammates better like Lebron at all, I agree. But I think they’re similar and close in how impossible they are to guard and stop. However this year, Durant has become a better playmaker for teammates, he won’t be as good as Lebron in that way, but Lebron will never be as good as a shooter like Durant. They’re great in their own ways.

I also think Durant could take a team full of role players to the playoffs. Replace Westbrook with say Chalmers and Ibaka with like Taj Gibson, OKC would still be a playoff team.

The problem is while I agree Durant could do something that now, LeBron was doing it for years…and he’s WAY better now then when he was in Cleveland.

LeBron all the way, remember how he CARRIED that subpar rag-tag 06-07 Cavs squad to the finals only to be embarrassed by the Spurs? I sure as hell do. Durant is an excellent player and is going to be one of the greats but LeBron is so much better at improving the production of the quality of his team-mates. Mo Williams looked like an all star when he arrived, Williams is a solid player but he looked incredible playing off of LeBron. Imagine if Cleveland actually put an established allstar next to James?

And LeBron put up with it for seven years and finally threw in the towel, not because he didn’t love the franchise, city and it’s fans but it was by the lack of ambition shown from the Cavs’ front office that pushed him away. He won games by himself but even he needed help, against the Spurs in 2007 nobody stepped forward to support him during that series since that kind of situation happened to be so alien to the rest of the roster and they were all clearly out of their depth. LeBron was 22-23 and was expected to beat an incredible Spurs team by himself in a highly volatile situtation, he had to go one on five due to an incompetent coach that had no offensive imagination whatsoever to face the likes of Parker, Ginobili, Bowen, Horry and Duncan with Popovich as the mastermind, are you kidding me?

If you’re bitter, LeBron is even more bitter because he tried to bring a title to Ohio and was given used, blunt tools by an out of touch group of suits that were content with LeBron being a video game to boost revenue and media coverage.

I don’t know how people say some of the things they do. Like how do you know that?

For example, saying KD can’t take a team full of role players to the Finals… Why not? IF surrounded by the right role players who compliment his game, why isn’t that a possibility? KD is THAT damn amazing. LeBron didn’t have any superstar teammates in Cleveland, but Zydrunas Illgauskas was an All-Star and the perfect spread the floor center to compliment LeBron’s game. Anderson Verajao was a perfect do the dirty work four man. Then the Cavs did a great job surrounding LeBron with shooters. Mo Williams was never an elite point guard, but he’s always been tough and can play his ass off. Mike Brown did his job defensively.

Then you have users who are too lazy to just go look at stats. Points aren’t the only stat KD averages more than LeBron. He’s shooting a higher 3PT%, averaging more free-throw attempts, shooting a higher free-throw percentage and averaging more blocks. To be honest, their numbers are all close other than free-throws and free-throw percentage for Durant and assists for LeBron, which LeBron will always lead since he’s a ball dominant point forward and probably the most gifted passer since Magic.

LeBron is at the peak of his prime and a better player than Durant, but I think it’s crazy to suggest Durant isn’t on his same planet.
