ilike.panochasParticipantThats one of his most known weakness (jumpshot). Which is why I don’t think he will ever be an All-Star forward, because he has a lot of holes on offense (jumpshot, creating his own shot, ball handling). I think he will be a solid role player, and possibly become a 3rd-4th option on offense, that will play good defense and rebound well for a SF. He does have alot of room for improvement since he’s only 20yrs old which is why he has alot of upside + his athleticism and and length (7’3 wingspan).

BBall4life88ParticipantMost overrated player in this years draft class. The Sean Marion, Gerald Wallace comparisons are not very comparable in terms of athleticism (especailly vertical leap) is not nearly as explosive…Plus he can’t shoot!

KrobifyParticipantAnd gets criticized on the forum for having a horrible jump shot??
Wow. I know his jumper isn’t better but you don’t realize that this was almost at the end of the workout, which is when most players are tired and their legs give out.

r377Participantg-force had little offensive game when he came into the league. g-force, like leonard are hard workers with a good work ethic. Leonards jumpshot will improve because he is young and willing to work hard.
im not going to yell all-star and say he will be as good as wallace but even he is gets to be 75-80% as good as wallace, in my eyes thats still a pretty good player to have on your team……

Mr. 19134ParticipantKawhi Leonard isn’t a freak athlete like Wallace or Marion, he’s just extremely smoothe. And he not only does not have a great jumpshot, but did not show too much offensive creativity. He will probably peak at 14 PPG, 8 RPG, a steal and a block.

Cardinal_FanParticipantI think your drafting this guy primarily as a defender first with room to grow on the offensive end. At best i think he could become Gerald Wallace. At worst tho u have got a guy on the perimeter for the next 10 or more years that could lock down opposing teams top offensive threat. I dont think any scout is projecting this guy to be scottie pippen, he can be just a young piece to a rebuilding team with pretty damn good potential.

mikeyvthedonParticipantHe is definitely worth a lottery pick. Look at most drafts and they rarely have 14 guys that do much better than that. Plus, his jumper looked fine honestly. He was struggling at the beginning, than sank six in a row. Looked a heck of a lot smoother and more consistent that Solomon Alabi’s. I think they were basically playing "Beat the Doctor" or as Ray Allen calls it in one of his shooting drill vids "+1 minus 2". When I have played you usually keep moving the entire time and either go from corner of the key to corner of the key or corner of the key to baseline (though we usually do not do lay-ups after we miss, and certainly do not have the freakish length to make it look as easy as they made it look). I was taught that you win once you get to 8 and lose once you get to -8. So, technically it only takes 8 shots to win it, but a single miss makes that number much higher. Good shooting game and way to get a sweat on. Sure, he was clanging them in the beginning, but his stroke is decent and he got into a nice rhythym and finished very well. Plus he was going corner of the key to corner of the key every time, Alabi was usually going lower and showed absolutely no range. Kawhi Leonard may not be a great shooter, but he at least shows some ability to become a decent one.
