What do you guys think of Karl Town’s potential?  He isn’t rated very well on here as the 13th pick in the 2015 draft.  The recruiting sites have a wide range when it comes to where they rank him; ESPN has him at 6 I think and Scout has him at something like 16.

He looks like he could be very good to me.  I watched him live at the Hoop Summit last year and from what I’ve read about his size and skill he seems like he should be solid.  What are some of the negatives that people who have seen him play a full game?  Is he lazy on defense?  Does he have a poor motor?  I would like to see what people have to say.

Check out the video below it is Towns winning the Hoop Hall Classic dunk contest, he was also in the 3 point contest.

His problem is that he is a tall shooting big men, who lacks strenght to bang underneath the basket, which potentially could lead to problems (especially on defense).

He reminds me a lot of Rasheed Wallace stylistcally. Time will tell on how good he ends up being.

I recommend you search some videos of his game with his national team. I’d say he has some Horford in his game (with better range). Rasheed is a great comparison, too.

Yeah, he is slow as well tho. Coach Cal will test his motor. But I see allot of Bynum or Rasheed because of his jumper

Coach Cal won’t test anything. He already coached Towns the last couple of years in the Dominican Republic NT. This kid has played against tough competition since he was 16.

PS: Hopefully we’ll get to see Towns play in the World cup this year.

Coach Cal begins every season pulling his freshmen, besides the top one, after mistakes which are more often then not due to lack of effort.  While he won’t pull the top talent for every mistake he does get onto them and demands a high effort level.

If we are referring to tests taken in a class then I completely agree, Cal will make sure that they won’t be tested on anything.
