For_Never_EverParticipantIts just the beginning of the game, but Embid and Wiggens have looked outstanding to me. Joel Embid is listed at 7ft, but I’m thinking he is in that extremely rare group of being above that and is 7’1 or 7’2.

For_Never_EverParticipantIts looking like a blow out right off the bat. So I’m not expecting the three freshmen to step it up or bring their A game anymore. That zucks.

Lafferty DanielParticipantYep, his first of the year. Almost made another one.
Wiggins looks a lot more agressive today. He’s playing a lot more physical.

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantIf Joel walks into the combine and measures at 7-2 and a unreal wing span he has to be the number one overall pick. Bigs like that dont grow on trees. He looks like a serge ibaka type impact player at the center postion and that is a deadly combo.

JoeWolf1When Kansas plays as a cohesive unit, they look very good. The key is finding consistancy with this young squad.
When Jamari Traylor and Tarik Black play well in the 2nd unit, you have a college team brining a 6’8” 235 lb great athlete and a 6’9” 260 lb great athlete off the bench to back up a 7′ 250 lb raw phenom (Embiid) and a 6’8” 235 lb skilled post player ( Ellis). That kind of post depth is very unique and when all parties play well, like tonight, especially against a small team like KSU, they’re just hard to handle.
KSU is a very good defensive team and they’ve proved that all season, but when KU is hitting, they’re scary. When they’re not…they’re very beatable. I’m not jumping to conclusions after watching this game, but the Jayhawks have beaten two very good schools to begin their Big 12 season.
Joel Embiid is not 7’2”.
