llperezlooking forward to this game. Both teams are 5-0 entering tonight but havent been challenged yet. Both are led by their star forwards, derrick williams for arizona and marcus morris for kansas. Williams is getting 20 & 7 in 24 minutes while Morris is getting 20 & 6 in just 25 minutes.

JoeWolf1Should be a good game, for those of you guys who haven’t seen Kansas yet, take a look at Markeiff Morris, he’s probably improved the most of anyone on that squad.

stealsgaloreParticipantI think the Cats could hang with Kansas if their guards play well.
Momo Jones and Kyle Fogg are playing well but they’re going to have to step it up to another level if Arizona wants to have a chance.

JNixonParticipantDerrick Williams vs. Marcus Morris. Should be an interesting matchup.
With that said, Kansas should win by around 10.

gregoden08ParticipantMorris isn’t more skilled. Did you watch the game tonight? Williams is more skilled, athletic and is 2 years younger. He did work tonight and he got into foul trouble later on so he didn’t play a whole lot in the 2nd half.

JoeWolf1I don’t think that Williams is more skilled, just more relentless and has less options around him. Williams and Morris make for a similar statistic matchup, but I don’t see that in their games.
Williams is clearly the best player on his team by far and his aggresstion offensively plays in to that. Like I mentioned earlier I think his ability to get to the line is his biggest asset, not only did he accomplish that, but he got both Morris brothers in foul trouble. He played a great game, showed me a little more range than I’ve seen from him in the past and played up to the competion. I think he is a 1st round draft pick, and like I said I wasn’t thrilled with the Jonas Jerbeko compariosn, I liked him to a cross between Hakeem Warrick and Rodney Rogers.
Marcus Morris is just an extremeley effective player. I really don’t know how to put it other than that, he doesn’t take many stupid shots, he makes his living off easy shots and hitting open jumpers. He’s a gym rat and makes the most of his naturally average athletic ability by getting himself in great shape and finishing plays with his head near the rim. He needs some work as far as his defensive footwork, but is a 15-25 pick just as I think Williams is.
To me it’s like comparing apples and oranges, they both are good, and IMO in the same draft range (15-25) but very different despite looking fairly simlar from the distant eye.
