MagikKnickParticipantI dont see whats wrong with that, other GMs have tried before, before the Nets signed Avery Johnson they tried to get coach K too, however, they might as well stop cuz….coach K aint leaving Duke
You gotta respect his attempt to get a great coach though, he doesnt wanna settle for anybody

aamir543ParticipantThe owners of Minnesota must be indebted for life to him, because ever since he was hired we have been heckling him. No really, go watch the 09 draft, we all wondered whether he was qualified for the job, and quite honestly, I dont even think he is pizza delivery material.

paradigmnParticipantNo one likes to get "rejected" when they make an offer, especially people or businesses that are considered "high profile". It’s embarassing and gives people the impression that "there not as good" as other organizations(which is true) The last thing David Kahn needs is another story written about him especially after the NGOMBO incident as well as all his other dibocals. There is NO CHANCE in hell that coach K would ever come to the Twolves. He turned down the Lakers job numerous times which is considered by many the number 1 coaching gig in the NBA. My point is no your place and follow accordingly. You don’t see the Pistons reaching out to coach K and there much more of an established franchise than the T-wolves. While T-wolves fans might be pleased with the effort, it’s obviously in vain and it just waste time in finding an ACTUAL replacement for yet another bad hiring by Kahn in Kurt Rambis.

bigdaddybluesmanParticipantThe hiring of someone like Kahn makes you wonder about the owners of NBA franchises. Look at Dolan of the Knicks who squandered millions on bad hirings, is he still paying 10 players and coaches not with the team?
Now the NBA wants their money back and they are doing it by trying to screw the players. Too many years of bad owners with bad teams making bad decisions on how and who to run their teams. Now it time for payback and instead of taking responsibility for their major blunders they want the players to make up for it.
Look at what just happened in Baseball with the Dodgers. That’s an example of a terrible owner costing the team and MLB millions of dollars, who is going to make that up? At the next bargaining table for a contract they will put the onus on the players.
This is not just in major league sports, it’s going on in corporate America, these are the same clowns who own major corporations. So what happens in the NFL and the NBA will happen to us all in the USA.The players MUST hold out!!! And they know it.
Yet people like Kahn are still being hired. And corporations that have failed are still paying their CEOs millions in bonuses. That’s like rewarding a coach who had a losing record.
As long as GMs like Kahn have a job fans will suffer with their teams losing. He’s a joke and I wonder how and why they ever hired him.

Memphis MadnessParticipantBill Simmons has a podcast with David Kahn and he sounds fairly reasonable. Kahn says he wants the T Wolves to run and thinks that Love would be deadly with his outlet passes and a good trailer who can hit jumpers. I think they got the best player in the draft and a Young Big Three of Love, Williams, and Rubio is very promising. Then they have Beasley as a big time scorer off the bench, Darko a solid starting center, Mike Miller a vet backup center, and Anthony Randolph who, if I am not mistaken, might play some center according to Kahn. I like the way the team is setup. They need a really good coach and probably another veteran but the pieces are there. Of all the young, rebuilding teams the T Wolves have the most promise. Can’t think of a veteran they can sign. Maybe a defensive-minded two guard who can hit some 3’s such as Deshawn Stevenson. If they get Rick Adelman maybe they can bring in Peja as a 3 point specialist and and veteran leader.
