Kevin6CDParticipantScouting report on Clemson SF K.J. McDaniels, who is slated to go somewhere in the 20-30 range. McDaniels is a freak athlete who needs to fine tune the technical aspects of his game (shooting, ball-handling). On defense, he’s a good rebounder and shot blocker, but, mostly due to bad form, falls victim to his man getting by him off the dribble. I think his ceiling is basically 2013-14 Gerald Green if he can find consistency from three point range. Scouting report here:

OhCanada-ParticipantNice scouting report. Ive only watched McDaniels in two games this year (Duke and Maryland) and I wasnt to focused on either game but from what I saw McDaniels has huge upside and both games he played like the best player on the court. Im definitely on the bandwagon he is as exciting as they come. I like the Gerald Green comparison offensively and athletically, defensively in college he reminded me of James Johnson but in the pros he wont be as versatile, James is a bit taller and has about 30 more pounds of muscle.

Kevin6CDParticipantI agree that he probably is more physical on defense than Green. Johnson didn’t block quite as many shots, but aside from that, I think it’s an accurate comparison.

hbomb3300ParticipantI’m hoping the Thunder can pick him up late in the 1st round!

Kevin6CDParticipantThat would be a scary 1-2 if McDaniels hits his ceiling. If he were to really take off, imagine playing KD and McDaniels at the same time.
