here’s my latest mock after today’s news.

everyone knows about embiid’s foot injury, but espn insider also reported that gs-minny are close to a deal with thompson, lee and picks for love and martin.  took that into consideration with the mock.

also, vonleh worked out for the 76ers today.  not sure how that went but i moved him to #3 with the comments to justify my thoughts.

enjoy and please feel free to comment.

Why would the Bulls take Napier when they can re-sign Augustin and get Hood, a 3pt shooter that they desperately need?

cheaper, younger option.  napier showed better defensive skills in the tourney as well.  don’t know why they’d spend money for augustin when napier gives you the same skill set for much cheaper?

Napier would be nice but 3 players are better than two, you know? Payne, Hood, and Augustin make a good offseason.

i totally agree.  i really like hood’s game and think he’s undervalued in this draft.

if it goes hood #19, i think napier may go #20 which wouldn’t be too bad for the mock contest scoring.

Disagree with Embiid to Orlando – they will take Exum or Smart. Exum to Utah? Unlikely. Rodney Hood at 20? Less likely. If Glenn Robinson III falls that far I would be shocked. Payne is a good fit for Chicago though. Nice Boozer replacement.

of course, that’s an option.  it is speculated that orlando’s 1st pick is going to take into consideration what they can get at #12.  in my scenario, i think the magic could go exum/saric or embiid/payton.  i like the latter talent wise.

exum to utah is unlikely if exum is gone.  but if available, utah loves exum as tweeted by adam zagoria 6/12.

not sure about gr3.  heard he had good workouts in houston.  pretty tough to call on the hodgepodge of sf’s (anderson, grant, mcdaniels, gr3, daniels, early).

If I’m the Thunder I would much rather have Capella at 21 and Dinwiddie at 29…  I can’t see them taking Kyle Anderson because he’s just a sub-par athlete.

yeah, i don’t know what to do with the thunder.  had nurkic at 21 there for a while but that started to not makes sense with tibor pleiss and steven adams.  capela works with collison getting up there in age and being a free agent after next season.

definitely, see dinwiddie as an option at 29 if they go a different route at 21.  i just think he’s going to end up with the thunder or spurs.  gut feeling that someone made him a promise.

Vonleh at #3 makes a lot of sense. Good mock draft.
