i think this question/topic can spark some debates.

    ok

remeber back in the early 2000s when it was Mcgrady-Kobe “who will be the next jordan” and mcgrady was at the top with kobe head to head..

    ok soo…
if mcgrady stayed on track and didnt get hurt and didnt have injury problems.

where would the nba be right now??
    would lebron be lebron?

would mcgrady still be up there as the next mj along with kobe?
would lebron still be the king?

Lebron is not the King, He’s a cavalier. Mcgrady is better known around my parts as “Glass Man,” from the movie Unbreakable.

A star like Michael was mediocre without a supporting cast. As much as it hurts me to say this, but where is Michael Without Scottie and Visa Versa.

    lebron would still be lebron.

mcgrady would have been in considerations just like kobe as the second best SG ever.

i mean i think lebron would still be the up and comer everyone seems to want 2 be the next big thing. but i think the conversation woul dbe more of kobe by himself. lebron and t-mac would maybe be the 2nd tier with wade tryin 2 join that group

T-Mac was certainly a top line scorer, i never was very impressed by his defense, MJ was a top notch defender late in his career, i bet if McGrady didn’t get hurt he’d have 20,000 points and be considered in a different class than he is now, but the next MJ, i still don’t think so.

Mcgrady Could Never Win a Play-off Series……That Should Mean Enough

Whether you agree with it or not, greatness in sports is often associated with winning titles. Kobe won 3 early in the Kobe/Shaq days in L.A. Do you think T-Mac could have accomplished leading Houston to the title? Maybe, but thats a big factor in comparing two players on a large scale of who is greater,…who wins more.

Mcgrady would have been way better if he didnt get injured, hes like 6’9 6’10 and went he went off it was even beter then kobe when on fire, yes kobes had his outburts of 81 63 and so on, but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_CGxj3dHGA this is sick, his athleticism was just as good as kobes it would have been close but tmac would have secured it

Auber is right on No King or Prince James. I mean about SG’s though Iverson & Wade I think are better than McGrady.

When was the last time you saw a basketball game bro? LOL… Allen Iverson would be better than a HEALTHY T-Mac? You can’t be serious… T-Mac would be a better OVERALL player than A.I.

I dunno Iverson and McGrady were pure Scorers. You also forget Iverson led the League in Steals a couple times so he did play hard on D. McGrady was a below average defender in my eyes

i just don’t think t mac had the fire of kobe. it seems like every offseason kobe comes back with somthing new that wasn’t part of his game before.

McGrady was a great player. But he probably only had one or two seasons as a top 5 player in this league. He was subpar defensively, was lackadasical in practice and in some games. He had all the offensive talent, but lacked that killer drive Kobe has. He often settled for contested shots over attacking the rim. He would be a great player, but not as good as Kobe. Kobe has been to the finals 6 times and TMac has never been out the first round, that has to count for something, injuries or not. And LeBron would still be Lebron regardless. He is his own great player, and would not be taking a backseat to TMac.

Growing up i was a t-mac fan to i like kobe more put t-mac was a monstor to head to head i always wanted kobe to win put i wanted t-mac to have a big game. T-Mac always will just be a great scorer. Before the injuries to his knee he was killing the league but his team wont doing anything. T-mac raminds me alot of Penny Hardaway was a great player but injuries mess his career up. Nobody can compare to Jordan. I like Lebron put he cant touch t-mac in his prime if t-mac was healty lebron would be number 3 compared to kobe and T-mac.
