Ch13f23ParticipantWhat if the Lakers and Timberwolves make this trade.
LAL gets Love, Milicic and Flynn + the 20th pick
PG: Flynn or Fisher SG: Kobe SF: Artest PF: Love C: Bynum
Why would they do it?
Lakers gets Love a local boy and a blue collar guy who could fit well with LA’s system cause he rebound, pass and shoot the ball well, plus a young PG in Flynn who may excel playing in a new setting and another big in Darko that fits in their system. Then draft someone they may like with the 20th pick.
MIN gets Gasol, Brown and Caracter.
PG: Rubio? SG: Wes SF: D.Williams or Beasley PF: Beasley or D.Williams C: Pau
Why would they do it?
They get a legit all star in Gasol and getting another Spaniard may convince Rubio to sign. Brown a spark off the bench and Caracter a young big that has a good upside. Then they should have no problem picking up D.Williams with the 2nd pick.

Ch13f23ParticipantIm just letting the time pass by cause I have nothing else to do right now.
So I’m just thinking and there’s nothing wrong about it.
How about this?
LAL gets Rubio, Love and Pekovic
PG: Fisher or Rubio SG: Kobe SF: Artest PF: Love C: Pau
Why would they do it?
LAL gets their PG, Rubio likes to play in a big market(LA) plus can play alongside his fellow Spaniard then they Love, we all know what he can do and desiring to leave MIN when became a FA for a winning team (Lakers maybe?) and a young big in Pekovic
MIN gets Bynum, Caracter and Brown
If Irving is still available with the 2nd pick then MIN should pick him though its doubtful.
PG: Irving? SG: Wes or Brown SF: Beasley or Wes PF: Randolph or Beasley C: Bynum
IRVING would likely be the number 1 pick so MIN should just trade the 2nd pick with Tolliver to CLE for the 4th pick, Hickson and Varejao.
PG: Walker or Knight (4th pick) SG: Wes or Brown SF: Beasley PF: Hickson C: Bynum
Why would they do it?
With the risk that Love may not re-sign with the team and Rubio never wanting to play in MIN they get something in return. Although Bynum is injury prone they get a legit proven Center whose still young (23) in him. Brown a spark off the bench and could also start for the team and Caracter a young big that has a good upside. Then trading with the CLE gives them Hickson who I think needs to be traded (Benched?) cause a change of scenery may benefit how he plays then gets the 4th pick which they could use on Knight or Kemba. Varejao a proven hard worker.
CLE gets the 2nd pick which they could use to pick D.Williams (Irving and Williams = WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?)
MIN could easily packaged Varejao to other team (probably contending ones) who is in need of his services or trade him and the 20th pick for other team that is looking to move up (again probably contenders).

surveParticipantI know, I dont have much pressing to do right now either, I just dont like talking about Rubio. I just never liked that pick, because I dont know when or if this kid will come over here and when he does get here I am not sure he is worth the wait.
I like Love as a player, I just think his statiscal season has people a little more excited about him than they should be. I just dont think he is a better fit with the Lakers than Gasol.
To me Minny just doesnt have much to offer the Lakers in a 2-way deal, if there were trades involving these 2 teams, there would have to be another team or two included.
If there is one thing I can agree with you on, its that they need to get rid of the rights to Rubio, at this point I would take what I could get.
