ScareCrowsRevengeParticipantwho else want’s these blind NY fans to stop with the “Chris Paul to NY” threads and Posts…
It’s not happening…
3 quick reasons/…
1.NO/Cavs like backlash…everyone from the new owners to Paul to The Knicks will atke on sooooo much “heat” from the rest of the world…
2.Ny is already soooooo hated and disliked by the entire world(except for New Yorkers and some of you clowns in Jersey..) every body else hates your stinking guts…
3.The most Important to me…
If Curry and Chandler + the imaginary draft picks you guys claim are trade-able assets can’t get you any body else of good to great value…Why would the Hornets take Them and give away a top 3 Pg…

WrecklessParticipantYou gotta hand it to them Knicks folks. They never quit.
And thats what pisses me off.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/22/2010 - 6:37pm #360778
fastdanParticipantWhat’s the deal with their picks? I thought it was the Rockets have the option to swap picks in 2011, and they straight up get their pick, unprotected I believe in 2012. They can’t trade their/Rocket’s pick next year because you arn’t allowed to have 2 years without a pick. So the earliest would be 2014,? And if they get CP3, the Hornets have to be smart enough to realize that’s a 20-25 pick. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI’m confused here guys
Name one team who will add CP3 this offseason and will have a lotto pick? Let’s be honest- Wherever CP3 goes, he will have more talent and NO would get a low pick regardless.

fastdanParticipantTrue, no pick will be that high, but at least if they get it from another team it won’t be in 4 years. But I think they big kicker is the amount of young prospects a team has, and Portland undoubtabley has the most that they’d be able to deal. Bayless, Elliot Williams, Armon Johnson, Batum, Babbit, Victor Claver. The only way for the knicks to compete with that is to offer Randolph and Gallinari, which would be devestating for the knicks, since they wouldn’t really have any wing players left, other then Azubuike and Chandler.

knicks82ParticipantIts whatever Scarecrow. The fact that you create a thread just to bash the Knicks and Knicks fans (Im not a New Yorker, I live in VA but have been a fan my whole life) is just a compliment to us. But the whole thing with CP3 is what it is, just speculation. Why dont you come on here and boast your team a little? You afraid someone is gonna throw shit back in your face? If your not all out for your team then STFU and GTFO. Fake hustle thats all you got.
Peace! Im outta here!

——————————————————————————————————————————————–I’m not a Knicks fan, personally I don’t want CP3 going to New York but I have answers for all the above questions:
1. Taking criticism? Paul is already taking criticism for asking for a trade to certain teams, it isn’t going to get worse with an actual trade.
The new owners will take heat? Are you kidding with the departure of Lebron from Cleveland and Bosh from Toronto the new owners will be praised for getting value out of Paul before he departs in FA or with less value after giving up on the team ala Vince Carter.
The Knicks would take heat? Ha, only from their opponents. They would have one of the best teams in the East and wouldn’t exactly care if the other teams in the league didn’t like it.
2. LOL, everybody hates NY you say? Well since Paul has it on the top of his preffered list of teams to play for I think this point is ridiculous. NY is a great market, a fantastic party city and would allow a player like CP3 to make a bundle of money.
3. This is the only point that somewhat makes sense but I still don’t agree with it. Who says that the Knicks are only willing to part with Curry, Chandler and future picks for Paul? They can add players like Gallo, Azubuike and/or Anthony Randolph to the mix to sweeten the pot. As well as take on big contracts like James Posey and Emeka Okafor.
The Knicks certainly have the pieces to pull off a serious trade offer for Paul.

Chicago1980ParticipantI still dont understand the fasination with the knicks and NewYork. This team hasnt won a title in over 30 years and they havent been good in about 10. The city of NY is one of the most overrated cities in the united states I was not impressed when I visited there. I just dont get all the hype and why every knick fan thinks that they deserve to get the best players this is ridiculous. And u pay taxes up the ass when u live out there what are the advantages. Personnally I hope they dont get any good players and I hope they stink for the next 10 years.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantExplain how Houston would not be giving up a late 1st?
NY will be in the playoffs next season without Paul…IMO
