Ive been hearing and reading more about this guy. Word is he is impressing a lot of teams with his point guard skills, court vision, and  his ability to defend positions 1 thru 3. There is said to be some intrest by the lakers as well as some other teams. The biggest knock on him is he isnt a scoring threat and he can’t shoot. Will some team take a chance on him as a 2 rounder or will he be an undrafted guy that makes a roster.

The lakers already have two point guards who cant score, why would they want another?

There was a previously posted rumor that Stone was given a promise by LAL at 41, I guess that means they have given up on Shumpert being available at 41.

Please don’t compare Fisher and Blake to Stone. Different types of players. Not to mention both are on in their 30’s and not getting any better(nor making the teammates better either). Stone can actually set others up and knows how to get the ball to players in easy positions to score and "their spots".

The rumor that the Lakers promised Stone their 41st pick was shot down, but it was later posted on a few different analysts’ twitter accounts, that teams before the Lakers at 41 are very interested in him and may take him. Not to mention, he’s worked out for 14 teams; most all of them holding a pick in the 30’s or 40’s.

Jumpshots can be easily practiced and can become a better shooter, but court vision  and great point guard skills are hard to teach a player. lets not forget a good defender, he can be a steal in the draft for sure.  He just needs to work on his jumper

Can i laugh when this kid rides the bench harder then Morrison? really guys if the kid was as good as you guys are hyping him he would be a lottery pick.  He wont see any playing time for atleast 2 years.  Be realistic here will ya.  Its cool to say he might one day be able to contribute but you guys pencilling him in as a starter for the lakers one day.

Julyan Stone would be perfect for Miami. He would add more height and athleticism to the Heat at the PG position. He defends and is good at distributing the ball to the scorers on the team. With the big 3 he doesn’t need to score. Miami I feel is the best place for this pass first point guard.
