WhodunitParticipantJulius Randle is a beast. Julius Randle is a future All-Star, wherever he goes. I dont get why hes not in the top tier along with Embiid, Wiggins and Parker. His foot injury is nowhere near enough reason to pass on him. I dont get the Knocks against him all these teams see. He’s one of the more safer picks along with Parker in this draft, imo.

AstroParticipantIf he drops to the Lakers, they get a steal.

Hector_Reyes_8ParticipantI wouldn’t mind a bulldog on the Lakers, he’s a physical big. Would not mind wearing his jersey for the next 10 years.

burgessfourParticipanteither. The big three was Wiggins, Parker, Randle until Embiid started to shine. Somehow that translated to Randle’s stock falling into the 5-9 area. I would love it if the Sixers ended up with him, and it would just be icing on the cake if they traded down and still walked away with him. I think Randle will be a beast in the pros.

ibe12ParticipantI think people totally over analyze Randle. The fact that so many mocks have Vonleh ahead of him is crazy to me. Having impressive measurables is all well and good but sometimes a guy just has that dog in them. When I watch Randle play I see a guy who will do whatever it takes to score and get rebounds in the post.

machu46ParticipantThe people that value Vonleh more are the advanced stats guys. Randle can have all the dog in him he wants, but statistically, Vonleh was a better scorer, defender, shooter and rebounder, and he also has better measurements.

ibe12ParticipantDon’t get me wrong I like Vonleh. I think Vonleh will be a better defender and he can score inside and out. I just think Randle will be a better rebounder and low post scorer than Vonleh.

kobyzParticipantVonleh potential is a superstar, Randle potential is an all star, although Randle is a more surething…

machu46ParticipantI’m curious why people are downvoting this. Vonleh shot a better percentage inside, actually shot it outside and also did so at an amazing rate, had a higher rebounding rate and more rebounds per 40, and is easily a better defender. I honestly don’t understand how anyone can disagree that the metrics give the advantage to Vonleh.

Magic JordanParticipantUnfortunately feel for the game cannot be quantified… as I think Randle would dominate Vonleh in that category. If you are looking at a peice of paper, then yeah… Vonleh is probably your guy. If you watch film, I think Randle stands out a little more.

cabbycabParticipantI like Randle as well but don’t get too excited about workouts. I do believe Kwame Brown ” dominated ” Tyson Chandler in a predraft workout and how did that turn out? Also Quincy Douby ( one of my all time faves ) did not miss a jumper at his King’s workout and he didn’t last very long in the league.

SnowtaParticipantIt’s a tough decision in my mind between Vonleh and Randle. Vonleh has the better measurables and may have better advanced stats, but there’s something about Randle’s personality that makes me want him on my team. I think Kobe would Love playing with this guy, because like people said he’s a dog. He’s a winner and he’s not afraid of anyone. I love that in a player especially a PF/post player. Personally, I hope the Wolves take the Boston trade and grab him at 6 otherwise I think the Lakers will with 7. If I was Philly I’d be considering him at 3 honestly. I don’t get how people say he doesn’t have superstar potential? How do you say Vonleh has superstar potential, but Randle doesn’t? There’s no way to know that now, only time will tell.

TooNice4TVParticipantPersonally I would draft Randle. I feel that he brings so much more to the table, not just basketball skill, than Vonleh would.
On top of that, Randle’s work ethic seems much more sustainable in the NBA than Vonleh would. To me Vonley would be happy reaching a "certain" ceiling as where Randle will constantly work regardless of success.

Mad MaxParticipantHere’s how I see it, swap Randle on Vonleh last season. Do you think UK would’ve made the run they did with Vonleh? Don’t think so, Randle can post up on the block and get points, Vonleh not so much.

BallinmvpParticipantI hate it when people say Julius randle’s work ethic is a plus over vonleh. By all accounts he works just as hard as randle
