akhan786ParticipantGlad to see Julius Hodge playing again. He was probably one of my all time favorites at State. He was absolutely electrifying.

akhan786ParticipantFuck it I can’t embed to save my life (it always shows a black box where the video should be when I preview the post)

JNixonParticipantI used to love his game. I thought he would turn out tobe something like Jamal Crawford when I was in middle school. He was a tall skinny 6’6 combo guard with good handles, you could tell he was from NY by his style of play.

surveParticipantWhen I read the title I thought you meant he was in trouble. One of the few bright spots in NCSU basketball since the Valvano days.

HobbyOGParticipantMy lose some points for this..but I always thought he was overrated..he was in the McDonalds game doing all that playground stuff, I don’t think he lived up to the hype.

PureshooterParticipantI always thought he was overrated as well. He was a good ball handler, but he didn’t have the strength and athleticism you need to play in the NBA. He had his moments, but there were times he got manhandled even in college.

NJHooper95ParticipantBen Gordon should have been in Mcdonalds over him representing NY and should have been the player of the year in NY as well. Hodge was a good player for college, but his pro potential was limited. Slow, skinny, okay shoot, okay handles, and no leaping ability.

I agree, but Hodge was considered a SF at the time also. Who was Gordon going to replace?
- Dajuan Wagner
- Mo Williams
- Carlos Hurt
- Chris Thomas
- Rashaad Carruth

I guess with no basketball, we find little differences like this to disagree on…

Lotto StudParticipantDon’t get me wrong he was a decent college player, but he was nothing spectacular not saying that’s what you make of him……c’mon though his handle was not like that, he could crossover, but he had no ball control whatsoever.

iguapops420ParticipantJulius was the man. I rememebr hoping LAL got the 17th pick that year from Indy so they get him. I awasy thought it was just because he got shot and the Nuggets landing jr that he didn’t make it in the NBA. Looking back though I could it was because he was simpy a Jack of All Trades who was skinny and unathletic. Still yet, gotta love NC State Julius. Too bad he ended up no better than Reece Gaines.
