no way signing Stephenson and Smith will help the Clippers past the second round.  Neither has the head or basketball IQ to help a team.  Please review their NBA history.  Both players have been ask to hit the road by past teams.

Lance Stevenson left Indiana, not the other way around. He is not ready for the load that he had to carry with the bobcats. But with the role he should be playing off the bench for clipps is perfect. Lance in a winning situation is where he will strive. Where he won’t be the focul point of the offense and he just needs to play with energy. And he will be playing with a lot better players than he has in his entire career. Behind veteran leadership like the truth , cp3, doc they can keep his antics at bay.

As it pertains to Josh Smith, did you watch the playoffs. Yes he is still a bit reckless and shot is erratic. But wow is he still as skilled as ever. He brought the rockets back in that series. His passing will fit so well with blake and deandre with the lobs he can throw off a pick and roll with cp3. Always a good rebounder and shot blocker. And yeah his role is to play off the bench.

Depending on who starters are the clippers can throw a seccond unit out with rivers, Crawford, Stevenson, Wesley Johnson, Josh Smith , and they signed Aldridge to play back up 5. They are looking very very deep.  Great additions to a team that is already a contender and has leadership to keep these guys in check.

Doc Rivers has done a good job with the limited money he had available. We’ll get to see how well he can manage difficult personalities with Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith on the same team. Seeing as Doc won a ring with Rondo running the starting point for him and the fact being Rondo’s a notably difficult personalty, I think he can manage Stephenson and Smith in reserve roles.

Pg – Chris Paul, Austin Rivers

Sg- JJ Reddick, Lance Stephenson, Jamal Crawford, Cj Wilcox

Sf- Paul Pierce, Wes Johnson, Dawson, Turkoglu

Pf- Blake Griffin, Josh Smith, Glen Davis, Udoh

    C- Deandre Jordan, Cole Aldrich

Team is stacked with talent. If they come together and get some chemistry going they can defintely win a championship.

Smith adds some front court depth.

Also, if CP3 is out, Pierce, Smith,  Stephenson and Griffin can all create plays.

if calling players like Rivers, Johnson, Aldrich, J.J, Smith, Davis, Turkoglu…stacked?…for a D2 college team.  They will win 50 games and then die out in the either 1st or 2nd….AGAIN!  The Clips star players dont play as a team.

I think this is a great pick up and really helps their frontcourt depth, which quite frankly was awful after Jordan and griffin. Smith has always gotten a bad rap, and some of it is warranted, but he’s still a very talented and versatile player both on the offensive and defensive end. Hes one of those guys that you look at with his insane athletic gifts and think he should be better, but he’s actually been pretty good throughout his career. He was a major factor behind Houston getting to the conference finals last year.

Only downside to this is that it gives teams another player to use the hack-a strategy on in addition to jordan.

I don’t see what makes them that much better, They have basically 4 chuckers on the bench! Austin Rivers,Crawford,Smith and Stephenson. Usually pure talent is always so well-liked among fans like you add this guy to this guy to this guy and hey you have a contender. But it doesn’t work that way. How will the rotations look like? Rivers-Crawford-Stephenson I mean, there’s only one ball right?
