TONYDABOSS77ParticipantThis guy is a stud. If he were in this draft, I think he’d go no lower than 2 & could possibly battle Simmons for 1. He really looks like Wiggins, but with ball skills…He’s so athletic, yet so skilled. He can handle it, he has very good court vision & he can defend many different positions, possibly 1-4. He has a great motor & seems to really play hard & mean. I love that demeanor. He can stuff a stat sheet. Really talented guy that can really break down a defense & get wherever he wants out there. I honestly think he could start on a majority of tha teams in tha league right now. He could give you 15 a night right now. He plays very smartly…knows when & when not to force a shot, when to drive to tha cup, when to pass, when to go for a steal or block. He just seems like he’s always a step ahead.
What do you guys think about him?

MatosParticipantIve said it numerous times. He is a game changer. Dude has superstar written all over him. Would go #1 this year for sure. He’s the next breed of natural scorers.

SteezGawdParticipantmakes the game look as easy as any guy in high school I’ve ever seen. And he makes everything look effortless, he’s so fluid, when Bruce Lee said "be like water" this is what he meant. He looks like T-Mac out there. He’s what everybody (especially Minnesota) was/is hoping Wiggins will/could be.

Robb_CParticipantHes better than Simmons, hes a 6’8 verison of Derrick Rose minus the prima donna attitude and lack of defense.. Hes a human pogostick with a very strong bball iq
Hes my favorite player coming out in quite some time.. Hes going to be the baddest thing to come out of college since A.D

UncledrewParticipantJosh been the real deal I guess people finally taking notice. You can tell he’s been around the game hes just a natural skill wise and is also blessed with a 6’8 frame and super athletic. His game has been polished even when I first saw his freshman year tape he looked so comfortable with the basketball. I can’t wait to see this guy in college, I expect him to dominate from day one. His game will be alot different than Anthony Davis, but I expect their impacts to be very similar at the next level.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantYeah, until I see him play college I don’t know if I’d say he’s as good as Simmons. To be perfectly honest I’m not sure he’s much better than Ingram (and yep I realize I’m gonna get negged like crazy for saying that).
Keep in mind that Ingram is 7 months younger than Jackson and showcasing his ability for Duke instead of Prolific Prep.
It’ll be interesting to see how well Jackson plays against Huntington and Miles Bridges. Anyone planning on watching that game should give us an update on here.

TONYDABOSS77ParticipantI would say I’d like to see him somewhere like Michigan St where Izzo gives his best player free will on tha court to play their game.

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantSimmons dominates the game without taking a jumpshot, so yeah, you would be wrong on that point. Now if you say that JJ has more POTENTIAL than a Simmons, well, you might have an argument there. On that note, I really really really hope Jackson goes to Michigan State. It just seems that Izzo’s pedigree and style align with the deficencies in JJ’s game. He would only benefit from Izzo’s tutelage…

chaParticipantI’ve mentioned this before. He reminds me so much of Andrew Wiggins. Oozing with raw talent. However, does he doesnt have the same lightning quick first as with other superstar wing players in the past?
The pull up jumper is the most efficient and effective way to get a shot off.
Barring any setbacks & injuries and a few good days of rest in between games, Kobe Bryant to this day plays fundamental basketball utilizing his quick burst of speed in his initial step to get his defender back pedalling and he pulls up from the mid range in. Carmelo Anthony has this. Kevin Durant has this. LeBron has this. Paul George is beginning to master this. Tracy McGrady had this. etc.
Does Wiggins and Jackson have it? So far for Andrew, he’s been effective playing the post and terrible from the perimeter that I’ve yet to actually see him operate from the perimeter. It’s incoclusive until he starts doing so. As for Jackson, so far in his highlights, it does not look that way. Perhaps more seasoning and strengthening should give him more power in his strides to the hoop.
In any case you look at it, both Andrew and Jackson have tremendous potential. As with everything, they first must learn how the fundamentals for them to truly reach their full potential.
