McDunkinFormer Wildcat Josh Harrellson helps stop drunk driverIt was in the parking lot of Tin Roof where Josh Harrellson says he saw a man who appeared to be drunk getting into a truck. He says he never expected what happened next.
Josh says he and some friends were standing by his truck in the parking lot of Tin Roof when the man got into a car, that’s when things got out of control.
"All of a sudden he was coming right at us," he said.
Harrellson says he and his friends immediately jumped into action.
"I just pushed everybody out of the way, and then bam – right into my truck," said Harrellson.
He says the man rammed another car, then hit his truck a second time. That’s when, Harrellson says, they knew they had to do something.
"About four or five of us guys jumped on the truck and reached in there and turned the keys off and just tried to make sure he wasn’t going anywhere," he said.
He says it was a harrowing experience, but when he discovered there were young children in the backseat, he knew it was worth it.
"We were just worried because he could have put it in drive at any time and maybe ran somebody over, or while our arms were in the car, just kept going and we could have been drug or something. I’m the type of guy that, I want to make sure everybody else is alright. I saw it, I moved out of the way, I’m fine. My truck got hit, that’s replaceable. I was just thankful nobody got hurt and the kids were fine," said Harrellson.
And as for his truck?
"It’s got a nice little dent in the back. I don’t know what’s going to happen, hopefully the guy has insurance. You know, lives aren’t replaceable so I’d definitely do it again to make sure kids like that are safe," said Harrellson.
Harrellson says this is the second time he’s had a car hit by a drunk driver

MJBrownParticipantIf the kids in the back were D’Antoni’s, he might actually make the team!

MuggsyParticipantIf marijuana was legal a lot of teens would be out of a job, thus the economy would be in even worse shape. It’s logic!

MrAnalystIf marijuana was legal, it’d finally make the economy good again. Tens of thousands of jobs, from growing marijuana, to harvesting the hemp. Marijuana’s hemp fiber can be made into pretty much anything. It is the strongest fiber in the world by far. Jobs alone from the hemp fiber could ultimately change the economy, yet alone the millions of tourists who would visit the U.S. alone each year for the reason that marijuana would in fact be legal. SMH.
