He was the other star for Spains great U20 run. His game reminds me a bit of Sergio Rodriguez but he plays far more under control. He did a great job running the team and setting up his teamates.

He absolutely killed it in the U-20’s, broke the tournament scoring record. Still, as cool as I think the naturalization thing is, it is a little strange. I mean, Montenegro won the Bronze in the tournament, so it is not like they are slouches. Imagine what they might have been like if they had Mirotic? I just think it is kind of funny that he just "got citizenship". He could not have been in Spain for long, probably shorter than Serge Ibaka, lol. I just think it is funny that Spain was already a fantastic team and now they are taking ringers. Atleast the US citizenship process takes 7 years of residency and all. I know Spain is not even close to the first, or worst, country to do this just for their own gain in a sport, but it is kind of strange. It is almost as strange as Matt Bonner becoming a Canadian, after playing for the Raptors for 2 years 🙂

Do you think Mirotic will be an impact player in the league? A certain scout that has trouble with words that include the letter "s" claimed he would have been  top 10-15 pick if he was able to play this season.

I honestly dont expect Franch to be much more than a 2nd round pick to be honest his speed, ahleticism, wingspan are all just average but he is a great floor leader

I do not know if he will be an impact NBA player, but I think he will more than likely be a steal for the Bulls. He was a pretty awesome value pick, and will more than likely be better than a number of players drafted in front of him. The problem is, of course, that he will more than likely be 24 before he ever plays in the league, and apparently has reservations of even doing so. I can kind of understand why he slipped, I mean, I still feel horrible for the Magic having taken Fran Vazquez 11th and having nothing to show for it.

Still, I think once the draft got to the 20’s, it would have been very wise for a team drafting there to take a gamble on him, because it could pay off big time. I liked him A LOT more than Davis Bertans, who he rightfully went ahead of. When I saw Mirotic at the Hoop Summit in 2010, he was the other player that really stood out for the International team besides Enes Kanter and Tristan Thompson. He has a really nice shot, and he was a good passer, even showed he can put the ball on the floor. I do not know if he will be a star, but if he came over right away he might help the Bulls as a back-up SF immediately, and they could really use that. The problem will be waiting for him, not to mention whether he can defend either of the forward positions at the NBA level. If he did not have contract issues, however, I think he might have been a late lottery, mid first round pick. Gueth I agree with him (I am going to hell).

franch is pretty good but he doesn’t have sergio rodriguez talent although he’s more athletic.

mirotic will be starting for the bulls in 2-3 years when he goes to the nba.

2.1 turnovers in 17 minutes to go with 39 percent shooting in the ACB. Have fun with that guy if you think he is an NBA point guard.
