I agree esspecially since they drafted a PG Shane Larkin. They should look to give him playing time.

May they’re looking for Larkin to learn from a more experienced PG?

I haven’t seen a thread about him yet so here it is. According to Chris Broussard, Calderon has signed a four year $28 million contract with the Mavericks. I don’t understand the move though, I think they should be rebuilding, not signing veterans.

Jose is still a good pg in this league, IMO i think mark only made this to have a legit back up for larkin in the next few seasons or use jose as a trading chip down the road

Looking at the maverick’s history., their idea of rebuilding is signing free agents and doing trades. I won’t be surprised if the mavs try to sign Andrew Bynum next or dalembert as a last resort.

When they sign Bynum, that will be their wildcard. With him healthy, they have a really good team. Without him, not so.

Calderon – Carter – Marion – Nowitzki – Bynum (old, but pretty good)
