valentineWell….if you did not know. John Calipari got caught cheating again. He allowed Derrick Rose to play when he was ineligible because he had someone take his SAT. He also allowed Robert Dozier to take a new SAT and allowed someone to take for him after Dozier was not allowed in the University of Georgia.
I feel this needs to stop. All they did was Vacate the wins and want money from MEMPHIS NOT CALIPARI?!?!?!
If I was the NCAA, I would suspend him, put him (not Kentucky) on a probation and if he does it again, Ban him from the NCAA’s.
Also, for Derrick Rose, I would ask him to make a small donation to the University of Memphis to help pay towards the money they need to pay back and the money for the school.

SpencerIsHawesomeI dont think Rose should have to pay the school back. It was the school’s choice allowing him to do this, even though Rose was in the wrong as well, i dont think any of the financial burden should be on him.
It’s a disgrace that Calipari still has a job.. Techinically he was cleared in both cases, but im pretty sure he is dealing with this like the head of the mafia does.. Has people under him take care of these things while he doesn’t know and lives in ingorance..

QHaynes20I think Rose should pay like 100,000. Half to the damages of knowing what he was doing was bad and Half to the school.
I agree, Callipari has done this 2 times now, I wonder if it will be a 3rd looking at this recruiting class..

llperezI don’t know all the details, but some of this should definitely fall on calipari’s head. But is anybody really surprised? Also, the schools need to take a more proactive approach to making sure these players have everyting legit. My guess is that they turn a blind eye becuase they know it equals money. They probably just hope that the coach and players will be smart enough to not get caught. I wonder if this changes anybodys mind in Kentucky about the hiring. Call me small minded, but I would want a man to run my team with a clean background.

doubledribblerParticipantUmmm…I am guessing catoosanumber22 is a Kentucky fan. Wow, is anyone seriously wanting to defend him? I think one of ESPN’s writers named Pat Forde wrote some articles awhile back saying Kentucky should be weary of Coach Cal. I understand being a fan, but imagine how you would feel if the best season in school history was a sham and it was all taken away from you. With everything happening, it makes me feel that much better that Kansas won. I would hate to see a team get stripped of a national title for stupid violations and then the other team would never get the credit they deserved. I think the guy just makes sure to keep his hands as clean as possible and lets his assistants and others do the major dirty work.
I am with the idea of hiring a guy that runs a clean program. We saw the mess that was left in Indiana after an awesome start to the season, that whole program fell apart after more issues came to surface. Transfers, people getting kicked off the team, interim coaches and a fading team.

sheltwon3ParticipantCalipari did nothing in the nba but he is a decent coach who mysteriously knows how to get top recruits and in college talent wins because unlike the NBA some college team really suck talent wise and good coaching can only take you so far

kong47272ParticipantAs they say, once a cheater always a cheater….
He has been caught twice already, if Kentucky is smart they will rid themselves of him before he brings shame upon them. They need not look far to see what will happen one of their main rivals Indiana brought in Kelvin Sampson because they were desperate to get back to the “glory days” despite Sampson’s recruiting problems at Oklahoma. Shortly their after Sampson was caught breaking the exact same rule and left the program in shambles and is now banned from coaching NCAA basketball for several years.
