Man…..this dude is a hater….watch his awful presentations on BR about the summer leagues….Calls Jaylen Brown and Ben Simmons disappointments….ok what???? Simmons looked as good as advertised til dehydration caught up…..he proved his passing and rebounding is going to translate to the league and his jumper had decent form…..Brown….hmmm for people who complained about him being #3 pick he looked PHENOMENAL….you knew he was out there….so athletic has better skills than advertised and a non stop motor exactly what Boston needs….he can get to the rim at will and just needs to tighten up his handle…ya disappointment..lol #GTFOH…..then he says only Jamaal Murray is going to be the only rookie on First Team…ok maybe could happen if you absolutely believe in his skills….NO….had nothing to do with just Murrays scoring prowess and more to do with how Buddy Hield will struggle without having ball all the time….and Murray will?….bashed on Simmons again…doesn’t think Ingram will be physically ready? It’s Summer League!!! skips Jaylen Brown and then doesnt like Dunn….dudes unreal and it’s all the time…..BR is horrible for basketball talent evaluation I just like it for the fact it’s constant news feed….Jonsthan Givony is right up this hallway too…..absolutely haters….have always been and will always be NBAdraft.net guy through and through and this is just another reason why..

didn’t read Wasserman’s stuff but I typically defend writers who are being accused of "hating" because it just seems like the easy thing to do when someone has a different or less than ideal evaluation of a player.

Oh he’s just a hater. He can’t be right. He doesnt have a point. He’s a hater.

I don’t know if that’s the case here.

I think the thing with Simmons, for some of these guys at least, is that he’s been hyped up as the next LeBron. For goodness sakes, how much coverage did ESPN dedicate to him this year? It was non stop. So there’s probably a bias and an expectation that is nearly impossible for a kid to live up to.

On top of it, it is summer league, so who really cares? It matters very little. Towns was terrible and other random guys dominate. There’s no structure, so microwave point guards who like to hunt shots end up shining the brightest.

If you don’t like his stuff, it’s very simple, don’t read it.

Mustn’t have been watching these Summer League games because Simmons is looking like Magic Johnson out there today.

I’m keen to see a few of these other guys at the Vegas Summer League like Ingram, Maker etc

He credits himself as a contributor on this forum and I think that was his only qualififcation when he got the job at BR.

It’d be cool if he got on here and defended his argument against you

Basketball is Video Games…….. He’s clearly trolling to get attention & it’s frustrating …….

B/c over the last 5 years we have been Inundated w/ 30 & under so called Analytics guys who have ZERO experience in the game just Regurgitating either Obvious or Flawed WARP stats

BTW, how do people feel about the growing backlash against stats like Win Share that Arbitrarily perverted the Original Sabermetrics mathematical formula to Manufacture Basketball stats???

For example, Win Share in Baseball uses a 3 to 1 ratio – example 60 wins equals a 180 team Win Share & for the individual it’s reversed accordingly to 1/3 Ratio – In addition there is No Negative Values b/c Defensive Ratings are Arbitrary…..

Therefore, Basketball’s Win Share is calculated on a 1 to 1 ratio & Does give Negative scores for so called Defensive deficiencies —- but as Bill James understood b/c Defensive skills are Subjective, you Poison a Total Win Share score by punishing Individual Defense in a TEAM game……

So what we end up with is Great teams obvoiously have High Win Shares associated w/ players in the playing Rotation – but that defeats the entire purpose of the formula – which is to Extrapolate the difficulit to Quantify Value of the Individual in a Team setting………

& now they are Projecting futures w/ this Flawed Math …….Wasserman is a posterboy for this type of Wild irresponsible Hyperbole
