According to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com who is reporting for Yahoo Sports.

If his buyout situation will be resolved in a timely fashion, look for Valanciunas to be drafted somewhere between Nos. 3 and 8 overall. He’s ahead of Enes Kanter on both Cleveland and Toronto’s boards according to reports and has huge fans in Detroit’s front office as well.

There is also a tweet from Scott Sargent who is pretty close to the Cavs.

    twitter.com/WFNYScott/status/72319686112

So are there any believers that Enes Kanter will fall all the way to the Wizards like he wants?

A lot of teams seem to be looking in a different direction since Kanter has made it known to the public that his preferred choice of a team to get drafted by is the Wizards.

    My Mock Draft:

    1. Cleveland-Kyrie Irving

    2. Minny- Trades the 2nd pick to Indy for Granger- Picks Derrick Williams

    3. Utah- Kemba Walker http://twitter.com/TheHoopsReport/status/71381424082649089

    4. Cleveland- Jonas Valanciunas (Read Above)

    5. Toronto- Brandon Knight http://www.examiner.com/toronto-raptors-in-toronto/colangelo-s-back-raps-pick-fifth-now-what

    6. Washington- Enes Kanter

This is wrong for all the wrong reasons. Obviously we dont know who is better as of right now between Jonas and Enes, yet something just tells me (and it maybe the 30 extra pounds of muscle Kanter has, with room to add more) that Valanciunas will not go ahead of him. Toronto will not select Knight ahead of Kanter unless they can move Calderon. If Toronto picks Knight over Kanter fans will be barking for BC’s head on a stick.

Not to mention Jonathon Givony is a nut. You also shouldnt post Draftexpress material on this site, I dont want you to recieve an extreme amount of negative feedback for doing that so Ill tell you easily. Dont post the competitors articles om this site.

Lol that Raptors article called Biyambo a spanaird and also stated how much higher Kanter was ranked then Knight and Valanciunas. Your sources are highly flawed.

Maybe I’m crazy…but how is Givony a quack? I’m curious because alot of people hold him to a great regard, and for this man to go on yahoo, let alone have the yahoo connect is crazy in itself. What has he done to be a bad guy in terms of draft talk?

Toronto won’t select Kanter because he is really a PF and they already have Ed Davis and Amir Johnson.

I think they will draft a PG such as Brandon Knight.

But there has been a report that the Toronto Raptors took Brandon Knight out to eat as their interview and are very interested, HoopsReport seems to be a pretty reliable source for me.

    http://www.thehoopsreport.com/article.aspx?id=728

The Toronto Raptors took Brandon Knight out to dinner, rather than just interview him at the hotel. A source said the Raptors are very interested in drafting Knight at No. 5 to replace Jose Calderon as their franchise point guard.

For the Love of GOD Toronto!…. don’t take Valanciunas! He is destined to be a stiff.  How can these pro’s not see this???  No offense, clumsy with the ball, not very agile etc etc etc.  Don’t fall in love with a young seven footer based on his "potential".  There’s WAYYY too much to fix with that guy to turn him into a starter… especially for the 5th overall pick.

Clumsy with the ball?  I think one of his strength’s is his ability to keep the ball high and out of the defenses reach.  Thats what attracts me most about Jonas.

He’ll develop into a starter within 3 years IMO.  He has all the tools to be effective in the league.  IDK what you are basing your opinion off of but I disagree with him being clumsy with the ball and for a big man he runs the floor pretty well.

Also I find "etc." on this site,  typically translates to…trying to strengthen my point by adding evidence which doesn’t exist, but I can put it in as etc. to make everyone think that my reasoning is common sense and does not require specific details/citing.

For an 18 year old 7 footer with a 7`6 wingspan averaging 70% FGs and 90% FTs is pretty good. That shows alot of development capabilities as far as offense goes for a bigman. He is not even known as an offensive player either. I bet his coaches held back his midrange game too.

OMG… you guys.  Have you even watched footage Valanciunas?  I know he keeps the ball up when he gets it and thats about his only redeeming quality.  That "skill" is more a product of him panicking with the ball.  He doesn’t get the ball and inspire confidence.  You more or less just watch him and hope he doesn’t screw up.  I watched him get burned laterally by his man over and over.  He gets low in his defensive stance, but can’t get out of it to stay with his man quick enough.  His feet look like they have bricks in them.  He moves akwardly when he jumps going after that ball.  People always say "when he puts weight on his frame"… but whens the last time you saw a guy really put on noticable beef?  Prince didn’t, Camby didn’t… the only weight he’ll put on is naturally when he hits his 30’s… and for a guy who is already stiff I don’t think it will be to his advantage.  He doesn’t jump very high for his height… and yes I saw that dunk.  I watched him get pushed around by everyone when they dive into the block.  He tries to push back but, he has to push back earlier.  He lacks agressiveness.  He can try to fake it when he hits the NBA but he just doesn’t have that killer instinct.  Attack attack attack.  Even if he could develop that mentality he still doesn’t have the decision making or skill to take advantage of it.  He’ll be turnover prone.  He gets stood up by his man on D.  His offensive contributions will be weak, and his defense isn’t anything to write home about so why is it he’s worth a top 5 pick?  I bet he won’t get to the line that much… he’s just not hard to guard.  There’s no surprise to his game.  Yes he runs the floor well… for a seven footer… but he’s not anything like the guys we saw at the combine.  If he’s really really lucky he’ll turn into a longer version of Robin Lopez.

ETC ETC ETC… I hope that satisfies you M-Dymes you putz.

I’ll hold off comment until I see how Terrence Williams to Golden State at #7 and Jrue Holiday at #4 to Sacramento work out.

BTPH is referring to the rumor,in 2009 there was a lot of rumors about Holiday being selected by the kings with the 4th pick also another rumor about GSW selecting T-will with the 7th pick, obviously both rumors was just rumors

that said a lot of people didn’t believe that GSW wanted Udoh over Monroe as the rumors said ,so those reports can go both ways

LOL HotSnot I just referred to something you said, I didnt call you a name unless you are referring to HotSnot but that is your screenname by choice.  You the one calling my putz bud, but its wateva.  To each his own but I think Jonas will be just fine and has just as much justification going high as a guy like Kanter who has a history of injury problems and didn’t get to ball last season.

Aran says Valanciunas is raising all kinds of red flags and may not even remain in this draft. In hindsight the order itself is not so bad, I just disagree with the Granger/Williams trade and think Kanter would go ahead of Valanciunas. If Utah really likes Kemba that much then I can live with him going 3rd. Also cannot be upset by the Raptors going BPA.
